You know, everyone is saying that the LR is so easy to take out, i have never lost mine. i keep it at ranged and keep it moving, the Lass-cannons fire a full 180 deg so i can run and shoot. At the same time i keep my Storm Raven at long range with its 72" rockets. i have lost my Redeemer LR a few times but its a ram and slam tank anyway, the fact that 6 GK terms get out and wreck havoc on a OBJ normally makes a big target, i more then make up the payback in the turns that are wasted firing at the terms.

you play on a small board for a 1500pt match. if you played on that size board every time a Daemon army would own you every game regardless of what you do. at the same time you obviously didn't read the other posts that we play on a 8 x 6 board, so that's 96". Oh and let me guess, you play on a board with no terrain right? just so you know it states in the rule book "a board smaller then 4x6 or a map with less then 50% coverage of terrain may leave the game to who gets the first shot"...Im guessing reading the fine print isn't your specialty.

O yea, one last thing to add, your cheating everyone you play against if your making the board so small and easy that you can dump Lass-cannon fire on the first turn, that's no strategy at all, that being said i would pave a Wal-Mart on your IG with my Chaos of Daemons every time, taking your range out of play every game. i know a lot of people play the small maps but its with special rules.

In short, if you didn't live so far away i would love to play best of 7 and see who wins, with or without your small board...i think there's pills for that...also you can trim the grass to make it look bigger.

Some weapons have the range for that, still.

Spammable hunter-killers for the IG, for example, or their big gun platforms, like the Basilisk on up...

Tau have a good 72'' range on their railguns i think, and can fire and move their Hammerheads 12'' with the right upgrade i think...

I'd also assume that you'd want to be set up further forward than your beginning edge.

A first turn blasting is pretty viable from some armies i'm afraid..

Daemons also have a habit of popping up in your face, andnot all of them are CC only

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

95% of competitive Ork, Nids or Guard lists will eat this for breakfast. In fact, 95% of lists will eat this for breakfast.

Even a well constructed (or maybe even not so well constructed) Daemon list, who incidentally GK's are supposed to be good at hunting, if chosen right would take this out in 2-3 turns...

wow, does no one read...EVERY one here sucks, cant build anything...some think that Power Fists strike at I4...at the same time all the competitors prepped for mostly infantry to fight, and i rolled armor heavy.

for the last time, i wont post this again, this list is a joke, but it worked, once.

Playing a 1500 pt match on a 8" by 6" board? No, I don't think that unbalances the game at all.

gak, I'd love to play Daemons on a 4'x4' board! Spread out and auto-mishap the whole army!

Seriously, this kid's tactics are as good as his spelling. Not worth a 1hr drive, much less 8.

So... you admit that you used this list to troll newbs who played you on a heavily terrained 8x6 board? Well, if that's what amuses you, I guess.

Also, please tell me you aren't in 2/7 In. If you're a Cottonbaler By God I'm going home and burning my "Volens et Potens" t-shirts.

Well, it could be said that constantly changing your list WILL keep your opponants guessing. My tendancy is to run EXACTLY the same list and let my opponants figure out how to beat that before changing my tactics. That way I can encourage them to improve while giving them a reliable foil. Unfortunately, they usually have issues even beating that first list. >.<

So let me get this straight. You post a list, claiming it to be the most dirty tactic ever. You go on to claim that you used this list to win first in a tournament.

But when everyone rips apart your list, you say that it will never happen again and it was just a fluke. You also state that you do not play what the rulebook says:
Warhammer40krulebook wrote:page 88: Standard missions are designed to be played on a 6'x4' gaming surface

But when everyone continues to rip you apart, you say you purposefully put this list together to defeat the new players in the tournament, so you could teach them a lesson.

But when everyone continues to rip you apart, you then turn to petty insults and name calling, all the while with terrible grammar.

TBH I thought you were probably a 13 or 14 year old boy, given the maturity in your posts, and your grasp of the english language. But you said you live on a military base, which probably means you are at least 18 years old.

Dude I play 1000-2500 point games on 4x4 boards. That's been the norm for me since I started playing this game nearly 12 years ago. And hasn't changed. Also at home a 4x4 board still takes up a hell of alot of space. Unless your fortunate enough to have a game room, which in that case just use a pool table.

I have to say, the worst part in all this, is he admits to being an asshat to new players. Im sorry OP, but your a dick. I dont like people that are dicks to new players. It makes them question why they even got into this hobby in the first place. When ever your playing a new player, your suppose to take your time and help them with the game and any questions they may have. Not pull some Ahole build on the table and laugh at their expense. Im failing to see how they learned a lesson at all, other then they made a mistake playing this game that is
