I love how they only show little kids playing the game, but the make sure to show off bugmans bar. I laughed at the comment about how they challenge the imagination. Considering all of the stuff going on in the past year it truly is a challenge to imagine why people keep coming into the game.
Possibly because the game is still fun, the models are still cool and people get some value out of it?
Nah. Couldn't be. I mean, this is "Stoopid GeeDub" we're talking about.

People need to get into the game to get out of it after all. The perceived value generally starts to diminish after the initial pull and thus the GW rage and "quitting" as hating GW and hating 40k are quite different.
In short ignorance grabs sales a lot easier than information. If it looks shiny, people will buy it almost regardless of the price.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

Those hippies are down there being paid and living in gold star hotels with the unions fitting the bill.
I'd say that that is a pretty good fight to be in on.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

As a wargamer and teacher of engineering I found it really interesting, always nice to see stuff being produced, and for me, seeing the methods involved, I can see why the minis are so expensive!

I've always wanted to see the miniatures factory. I immediately thought of a servitor when I saw the guy at 5:27.
Do you think those factory workers own armies of minis that didn't pass quality control?

I could be wrong, but I swear that was John Cravens doing the voice over. I hope not - he was a TV legend back in the day, the British version of Roy Burgundy!

Unlikely - I recon they shake everybody down as they clock off!

Don't worry - that is no way John Craven. And yes you are right, he is legend.

Really cool. Its interesting how the forgeworld models are cast by hand. Thats probably why they ask for the production number when you say something is defective, because that employee probably signed the batch with his signature.

Yes, that was mildly interesting, particularly seeing how many people work in the factories. You can see how the leaks get out now. It only takes one of them to whisper in the ear of Harry, Hastings and the like about what miniatures are being casted at the moment and it would be nearly impossible to trace it back to the source.

Anyway well done Brother SRM for bringing this to our attention, a really interesting find. Similar to any other promo vid for a medium sized UK company but a great insight into the GW set up.
