what's so hard about tau? spray them one color and paint the cloth another...heck I could do a squad of FW in codex colors in less than an hour...just spray orange paint the pants brown and wash black....

SM are definately the easiest to build and paint, as well as play. It's why they're so popular, you can basically spray an entire squad one color and all you have to do is paint the guns to have table top quality...(thought necrons probably are just as easy now since you just can spray a whole squad gunmetal silver...)

CSM and demons are probably amongst the most crazy as far as painting. Thousand sons have tons of gold lines, slaneesh have all sorta of weird colors (light pink is hard to paint without it looking like a darker color). Plus if you wanna have a table worthy army you really need to pick out those details.

It is just that there are a lot of armies, and they are all equal. this is just my opinion
