in your opinion, what i  s the easiest army to build and paint. to put it in other words, what is the most fun army to have
What is the least fun.
 .
I like Necrons. you can paint them in an easy way, or an advanced way.
The worst army for that is Tau.

Welcome to Dakka - this probably isn't quite the right location for your questions, but here goes.
Easiest army to build is probably Space Marines or CSM - lots of readily available used models and parts are out there, and for cheap.
I agree on the Tau - if you're following the codex color codes it's not a simple process.

Best army is space marines, since they are easy to play and paint.
Worst are Eldar, due to their somewhat difficult to put together and multiple paint scheme requiring models. The army dosen't never get old though...

Hello and welcome.
So new army necrons are a good choice, but if your look for an easy army with style I would recommend CSM (SM with al little daemonic strength and did I mention the get daemons...).

what's so hard about tau? spray them one color and paint the cloth another...heck I could do a squad of FW in codex colors in less than an hour...just spray orange paint the pants brown and wash black....
SM are definately the easiest to build and paint, as well as play. It's why they're so popular, you can basically spray an entire squad one color and all you have to do is paint the guns to have table top quality...(thought necrons probably are just as easy now since you just can spray a whole squad gunmetal silver...)
CSM and demons are probably amongst the most crazy as far as painting. Thousand sons have tons of gold lines, slaneesh have all sorta of weird colors (light pink is hard to paint without it looking like a darker color). Plus if you wanna have a table worthy army you really need to pick out those details.

Whatever, a post is a post, just some people just say "welcome" to up there Dakka Dakka Rank.
Necrons are simple, not too many options, and easy to paint, build, play, and study.
I LIKE Daemons, use them in 40k Daemons, 40k Chaos, and Warhammer. I have yet to play them in a tournament...
Question: Would they still be allowed in a 40k Terniment if they had square bases?
Could I use a big round base in warhammer, for the Daemond Prince?
