Two twenty-block Warrior Squads are friggin' daunting in a combat patrol mission, especially with their phase out and vulnerability to power weapons and fists are gone. Genestealers would wreck house as well in close combat. Put Ymgarl Genestealers in there and its like re-creating Aliens 2 all over again.

40 warriors (2 twenty-man units) totals 520 points.

For a combat patrol you'd have to field two 15-man blocks, @195 points per unit. Then hope your gauss flayers get the job done before anything assaults you...I2 is still our enemy and sweeping advance spares no parts.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

Even then, it's still not 1/6th of your army. You still get saves. And if we look at the rules for Waaagh! then it's questionable if that even applies as all, because it reads that the orks fight among themselves before they get there on a 1, which is pretty hard to do if you are flying solo. Even orks arn't dumb enough to hit themselves.

You are confusing the old combat patrol rules with the newer kill team scenario from battle missions.

The foc is:
HQ 0-1
Elites 0-1
Troops 1-3
Fast Attack 0-1
Heavy Support 0-1

With this in mind, ig win hands down, run a full platoon with hwt and special weapons, you have 55 men. With some points left over, depending on wargear
