@ Kingcracker, cheers mate, I'll keep that in mind, I didn't plan on breakfast anyway, because I think it is definitly a proper thanksgiving!

Most of the family went out of town this Thanksgiving so we had a small one with the few relatives that didn't wish to leave the state. It was quite nice. Nice and quiet... and filled with turkey.

Ugh.......well I made the whole food plan today. It was done around 3, and here it is after 9....Im still stuffed. Worst part is, I have a docs appt tomorrow, so I KNOW Im going to be asked how I gained 10 pounds in a month

Ten pounds in a month?...hell man I think I might have gained ten pounds today. ...I've eaten quite a bit...including half a sweet potato pie.

Heard of it when I was in Texas but never got around to trying it.
I grew up with an aversion to buttermilk, as my grandmother would insist that as a young child I drink a glass of it every day because it was " good for me" ( My grandmother had some strange ideas... ), I absolutely loathed the sight of it for the longest time, but of course later utilized it in the baking of biscuits, pancakes and other recipes.
I've heard good things about buttermilk pie and ,now given your recommendation, I'll definitely give it a whirl.

EDIT..Just not tonight ...as I'm pretty certain I'd explode if I attempted to eat anything else for a while.

today was a good day...

Well...except for that part of the family that I always hate to see...(I swear to god if I hear one more conversation about the new Twilight movie )

Of course there was also the traditional football game on TV...y'know the cowboys and dolphins game...didn't pay much attention...

But enough with the boring stuff! I have to say by far the best stuff this year was the surprise pumpkin bread pudding that one of my relatives made. What really set it apart was the sauce that went with it.

It was kind of awkward though when I asked what it was and found out it was rum sauce...

Oh yeah bro, Bread Pudding w/ Rum sauce is delicious ...I haven't had Pumpkin Bread Pudding, but it sounds good.

having raided the fridge after getting home from work this morning i must say, pie is the greatest leftover (i think we killed off like 3 delicious lemon pies yesterday)
