So far I would have to say finally finishing my Ogre Kindom's army. My first "real" large completely painted army.
It took about 2 years - so it feels pretty great to be done with it all.

My proudest moment has to be when I sold my first mini that I had designed, sculpted and cast myself
Of course, I do get that same sense of pride and satisfaction every time someone does buy a mini from me...!

The last two were in the same game, and the guy ragequit shortly after.
The guy with the Mephiston claw-puppet found it so hilarious (given all the Mephiston is unbeatable hype..) that he started orks with his tournament winnings, after he got the grand prize. He was an awesome guy

What is your proudest and favorite moment as a wargamer. Mine is the completion of my first model, a space marine from the old 3 model starter set to paint miniatures.
Please share your moments.
Mine was when I opened my own LGS for the first day...

Forcing a draw, In a game that if I had lost, would have been knocked out; had all but a immobilised, all weapons destroyed, trukk... THAT WAS CONTESTING THE ONLY OBJECTIVE!!! Also, any time my painting gets complimented, even if its a hollow compliment I'd place myself at "OK Tabletop Quality"

Been Around the Block

In a WM tournament final, I'd gone up against Cryx and never really played them before, was a dirty list and my standard list didn't fare well, all I had left was two points on my Harbinger and Villmon in what was like the third round, I decided instead of conceding we'll just play it out so the guy could get full points. Inadvertendly cleared a way to the opponents caster with the Harbinger, assaulted with Villmon, thought it was impossible to kill the caster with him, rolled a triple 6 and the caster only had 18 points on him. I won the tournament which was my first WM tournament win and Villmon went on to be my only painted member of my Menoth models for his heroism.

I also won a Halloween converting contest at my local GW for my Ash from Army of Darkness.
I came in one day and the manager told to pick out my prize ($25 box or blister) I didn't even believe him. I'm friendly with the local manager and we joke around a lot so I thought he was kidding.
Took home a new box of orks boyz (back when there were worth $25)

Notquite-if a vehicle is immobilized and has all weapons destroyed then the next WD or immobilized result will wreck it. It would have to take one further result.

I know your pain. I was a more or less a silent partner in investing in a comic shop, that also sold games and imported resin kits from Japan. This was more to me a hobby than a career, since my thing was investing in real estate. I had 5 good years on enjoying myself with that customer base and got a low return (1% of gross sales. Not really much but I did not wanted much at the time.) on my investment. The money was not what I wanted and I part took care of the upkeep of the store. Then it all went away due to the crash and burn of the comic/ rpg/table top entertainment industry in the Mid 90's. My partners went belly up and the place shortly went vacant.
It was fun but hard work, but to this, day seeing the store front be something else than what it was always saddens me.

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?

Guard Heavy Weapon Crewman

When the War for Armageddon event went on in the late 90's, one of the visits was to my local shop at the time. I grabbed a corner spot so I could control the Imperium's Basilisk (my favorite vehicle and the model I saw that made me start playing 40k all those years back)
Back then it was a guess 36"-120". I targeted the Orks centerline (3 kans) and called a shot of 110.5" to the center Kan. They kind of raised an eyebrow at me to make sure I was serious about .5. They measured it and I ended up putting it dead center onto the middle kan, the template covered all three kans as well as a trukk full of boys. I scattered and scored a hit, penetrated and rolled a six on the penetration roll. There was a big hole of a crater left in the middle of the Ork lines.

Tabling a Blood Angels army with my then Plague Marine force making everything die by turn three with my indirect fire defiler and Assault Plague Marines Nurgles Rot + Blight Grenades.... Awesome loved 4th ed CSM Codex.
Keeping a consistantly painted Space Marine force even though I suffered from depression and feelings of general lowness after my wife met me and married me the Marines were a constant part of my hobby life only let them go this year and that was to a new hobbist whos family commended me on my painting skills.
Completing a Baneblade painted converted.

Another one inspired by the Apocalypse Game shenanigans.
Rather large store game and I was one of the Chaos sub-commanders. We had a tank company and enough combi meltas in reserve. And due to an asset an orbital bombardment a turn. The looks on our opponents faces after our cunning proceeded to utterly destroy 6 out of 7 objectives leaving us to hold the only remaining one and win.
