That thing is sweet, nice find.

Musta been a pain finding battle-foam to fit it though

Interesting start. Those turbine fans you've added at the top - did you cut up several landspeeders, or are they part of the drop-pod kit?

They come with the drop pod kit, they would normally go on the bottom of the drop pod, but the dreadclaw has a hatch at the bottom, as it was originally used for assaults onto enemy starships, it would sort of hook onto the side and use meltas to drill its way in.

I love the painting you've done for the marines - they really suit the Nurgle feeling! Oh and that Daemon Prince is really awsome...

Thank you, stay tuned for more updates, I shall be airbrushing my rhinos and dreadclaw soon, I just have to buy an adaptor to attach the hose to the propellant.

Lightbox? Rather than buying one they're dead easy to make, cardboard box and tissue paper and your nearly there.

Ok, I have bought the Command Squad and built them, I am just waiting on the Pre-Heresy Jump packs which I have just ordered from Maxmini, so there will be pictures of them fully converted in about a week. I have also did some more work on one of my two rhinos and my defiler, pictures will be put up tomorrow. I decided to scrap the dreadnought idea because I am planning for my next big buy to be the conteptor dreadnought which I shall turn into the chaos version

Update! I have done some work on the Chaos Apocethary. I added an eye where the spot light was, and I greenstuffed some pustules on areas. Then I painted him bone coloured to stand out with green shoulder pads with gold trim to tie in with my paint scheme. Here are some WIP shots of him...

Also here is a WIP shot of my 2nd defiler I am working on, it is a shot of the three eyes erupting from the top of the defiler torso:

I have now finished basing my Fabius Bile counts-as... what do you think of him?

The paints I used for the armour was a black primer, then cathlan brown, then bleached bone. After the bleached bone I washed the armour with Devlan mud and then neatened it up with more bleached bone.

I plan on using this paint scheme on my Chaos Raptors in pre-heresy armour, to make them look like the original founders of my legion; the Luna Wolves.

Also be sure to check out my latest entry in the fluff behind the Sons of Davin, I would like some comments and criticism on that: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/414681.page

Work has been going well on my Rhino as well, I have just been neatinig up the fleshy areas and pustules and adding a glowing effect on the console in the inside, so keep on checking on my blog for some pics of that which should be coming soon. Thanks for reading

Like the colour you got on the armour, nice. Missed a mold-line on the leg though.

I'll try to remember to check the fluff later.

Hey there. What exactly is the oily black substance that you have on the side of your rhino work in progress. Just curious.
Keep up the work dude. Your producing stuff faster than a tyranid breeding pool.

It is a tube of black porcelain paint, I use it because it makes quick 'n easy blobs of goo which I paint over without making a massive mess like if I used PVA or something else.

so your using it a bit like filler?
i ask because i use a rust red paint for that. it matches my paint scheme and makes it a little easier to paint the final model.

Nice, I use and orange-brown airfix paint for rust, then I darken it down a bit with a wash of Devlan Mud

Some cool stuff here, mate - my favourites are the Chaos Lord with wings and both versions of your Daemon Prince!

I would like to see some pictures of the individual squads of Plague Marines, I think you're selling yourself short by leaving those out

Cool Apothecary but... He's the last person I want to treat me when I get hit...

I now have some images of my squads of plague Marines and other units:

Here is Part of my army on a tray before the photo shoot (I think I am missing another squad of Khorne Beserkers and Plague Marines and a Defiler).

Here is a squad of plague marines, weapons load-out: Plague champ - Power-fist twin-linked bolter, two plasma pistols

Here is a squad of khorne beserkers, weapons loadout: Skull champ- power-sword
(Yes my Beserkers are painted up as Nurgle, but there is fluff behind that)

I have now advanced the background of my Chaos Legion so be sure to check it out! The link is in my sig, under Fan Fiction.

I still have a few more photos that I took on the weekend of my Plague Marine squads, so I shall be oploading them tomorrow with some pictures of one of the Rhinos which I have nearly finished.

So here is my painting/to do list:
-still got to build a light box
-finish my custom converted obliterator
-paint the two defilers
-paint the dreadclaw drop-pod
-paint the pre-heresy raptor squad
-finish off the rhino that's nearly done
-start painting my second rhino
