Some awesome banner work in here, the Daemon one is wining out for me at the moment, but some really great freehand on display overall.

Not sure I have any at the mo, will definately have some next year with my Guard, so until then I'll just be watching what others post.

Does anyone have any possible tips for painting Orc standards? Any help would be appreciated.

Sure, Knox! Start with basic shapes like triangles and just practice making straight lines and geometric shapes on a piece of card stock, or spare banners. Also practice doing subtle highlights, too. Once you are satisfied with your practice work, try out a simple emblem or image on a relatively flat banner (goblin banner?) as your first final project. Work slowly and use a simple pallet so that it will be easy to touch up.
This is how I learned to paint embellishments on my vehicles, and I am happy with the yielded results.

I don't really think mine holds a candle to some of the previous banners, but, here it is...

Fungi: your banner is brilliant! Subtle, but striking.

Here's my effort, no free hand involved just some green-stuff, I thought adding some runes etc would be a bit overkill,he will be the banner bearer for my nurgle marauders

Very nice! I would maybe do more highlights on the banners, just to make them look completely perfect.
