Slashing Veteran Sword Bretheren

Was forgotten by most of my family so I started thinking that people would be impressed by my work but the only people who like them is my mam's side of the family and my step-dad's side. Then all my other family started calling me a nerd. :(

Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out. |

A friend of mine was like Andrew, Ryan, Jon, come round and play this! it was WHFB back in the Dwarfs vs. Orcs n Goblins starter set (those were the days), cant remember for the life of me what it was called. Me and Ryan, doubled up and beat up those goblins . And thus formed our 4 man gaming group. Which dwindled to two after a few years, then me and Jon gave up, deciding that image was better than a money-sucking hobby.
About 3 months ago, a good friend of mine was like 'Hey! lets play some 40k', despite me being completly oblivious to the fact that he actually played. being of the age where i think ' you' to those who dislike my 'image', i took it back up. Talked to another friend and he started up straight after me. and since then, convinced another friend to collect IG. he has £100 worth of flootsloggin IG to make over christmas. lol @ him.
Likeing 40k more than WHFB, and can see 40k swallowing a great deal of my time.

When I was 12 my older brother came home with the RT Tan Space Marines. I loved putting them together. A few weeks later my parents picked up a Eldar Guard 10 back of metal models because they were in 1 piece, and that way I would stop driving my brother insane asking to put together models. I played for until I was 18 then went to college.
Around 21 I went to my first big tournment and placed high with Eldar. I rotated playing Eldar / Chaos in 3rd edition on and was hooked. Now i'm a ramaging Ork / Chaos player. I've develed into Warmachine, Fantasy, Mordheim, Blood Bowl, but I keep coming back to 40K... ironically because I love killing terminators. Its that simple.. its fun popping those 2+ save models. There's something about squishing terminators with Killa Kans and Dreadnaughts that brings a smile to my face

Lord Commander in a Plush Chair

I really got into it as my Dad bought Space Hulk when that was released. He had a friend working on the novel range at the time and he gave us another copy. So we had a lot of tiles and genestealers. After this my Dad bought all the Terminator variants and we had the expansions Deathwing and Genestealer.
When I got a bit older I expanded into 40K and Gorkamorka.

I can remember having battles in the sandbox with Marx figures when I was very young. As a teenager I built a lot of armor models until D&D came out, the small metal figures had me hooked instantly. Bought and still have some of the first Citadel figures from the early '80s. Played Avalon Hill games too until I met some other folks who played WHFB and been playing since 5th edition was brand new.
What got me started? My older stepbrother.

I was 15, fat and uncool. Then I met up with other 'outcasts', had friends and felt like I belonged. Plus, gamers can get some killer weed.

Sure Space Wolves Land Raider Pilot

Got bored with MtG, was introduced to the game and a new group of friends from a longtime friend. At the time (June 2011) I said I would start building my army at the end of the summer. Two weeks later I had my first Space Wolves Pack and the Codex. Now I have a full 1850 list that's in the process of being painted.
