We're basing this purely on the stats of the weapon. I'd say a Laspistol is far worse.

I'm absolute terms, it's pretty much the laspistol/grot blasta (the same thing now). Short range, low Strength, 1 shot, no Ap... it's the complete package of suck.

Now, in terms of worst for the points? that's a more interesting question.

The pyrovore has a heavy flamer on a 60pt infantry model. that's pretty crappy.

Spinefist is still worse in the Tyranid book. You're paying to upgrade your assault 1 bolt pistol to an assault 1, twin linked las pistol.

As for all the "laspistols", try taking a look at the hot shot laspistol.

I would say that the cannon of the Leman Russ Vanquisher isn't exactly the most useful anti infantry weapon.
For the points of that tank, you can get 31 sergeants with laspistols.

Now I don't know about you, but 31 guardsmen firing at you and then assaulting you seems more scary to me than the Leman Russ Vanquisher.

The Infernius pistol gets my vote.

6 inch range is lame.

That infernus pistol may have a 6" range, but that's also charge range. So if you plan on charging, you can shoot it as well. Good for taking out TEQ, especially Battlesuits, GK Paladins, whatever. Seeing as the guys holding them are jump infantry, they can catch those pesky Battlesuits that would simply kite your other units around the board, as is what *always* happens whenever I play my Tau friend.
And no, I don't play Blood Angels.

I'm going to go with...
A grot's fist. WS2, S2, A1. Whut.

The tyranid strangleweb has already been mentioned as being awful.
But what they didn't point out is that it actually costs 10 points to take. On a 5 point model. It's the most expensive weapon you can give termagants, and even ignoring it's cost, probably the worst.

Since I "retired" from the game just after City Fight came out I will admit that I'm rusty on the current weapons and their stats but having evolved my IG from a Necromunda gang I would have to say for man portable weapons it's the Lasgun and Laspistol.

For vehicle mounted weapons the Conqueror Cannon is the worst, small template and S5. Only use is to p**s-off anything you shot at.
Loved the shotgun though, knocked a SM off a bridge and the judge ruled that the kill was fair.

I'd argue that the las pistol is only there to give my power weapon sarge 1 more cc attack rather than anything to do with his actual shooting.

grot blaster gets my vote.
