well I mean the baskets/hilts looking like cutlasses, which now I'm realizing is just on Konrad. I agree that the bastard swords on vlad and mannfred look awesome as well.

What do you think of using de stuff like wracks, haemoculi etc for VC stuff? I played Vampire the Masquerade for a long time and they have a clan of flesh crafting vampires called tzimisce. Kinda sounded interesting to try out.

You're looking for Necrarchs. That's their schtick.
They spent their entire unlife mastering Necromancy and the dark arts and experimenting with zombies, skeletons, and, well, anything they can get their hands on.
Dark Eldar stuff like that would need a lot of conversion to get rid of the extremely high tech stuff all over them. There's actually some old 6th edition Necrarch vampires on the GW site still with don't look too bad.

The Archon looks like a decent vampire if you paint 'em right.

-Loki- wrote:Gamezones Mournful Knights are the go-to models for standin Blood Knights for everyone who can't afford them (which, to be fair, is just about everyone). They really are nice models.
Keep in mind that these gamezone Miniatures are very delicate models: Good to lok at but difficult to assemble and to keep unbroken. Most have only a tiny connection to the base which breaks easily during the game or transport.
BTW now we get plastic Black Knights as possible Blood Knights stand-ins by GW.

I'd be pretty annoyed if someone decided to just start using Black Knights as Blood Knights. At least make the effort and replace the riders.

Dragon Princes with head swaps make decent Blood Knights if you paint them properly.
Or use Bretonnian bodies on the Black Knight horses and swap heads on the knights with vampire heads, or helmeted heads if you want to cheat.
