That was my first attempt, admitedly I rushed it, but the whole thing just went pink, so I mixed chainmail, blood red & bask red and got terracotta :$

You need wash coats.

You could always light drybrush Chainmail over red, then wash it down w/ Baal Red several times.

Sorry, not yet, I've only had a small amount of time to get any painting done and I used that towards getting my DE ready for a game on the 14th.

Hopefully I'll make some time for it tonight, I've a few different things to try including P3 wash and vallejo turn signal red though this seems to be a tad too watery

Tamiya sells a metallic red paint that is really nice. Deep red color.

Check out some RC hobby stortes, they usually carry it.
