Chaos Cultist version 2! Alright, so on the one art sight that I post pictures to I had a comment that my last Chaos cultist group photo just looked like "a bunch of guys in robes" that were "not spikey enough, dark enough, or bloody enough." soooooo, I sketched up two more versions, this one and another bigger poster. Oh, and the reason that the background isn't inked is because I didn't think that my markers could spread that far.

Yes then her effect was achieved. She was on deviantart and submitted the original cultist pic to a group only to have it criticised that "Cultists are much more bloody, spikey and evil" Which if you know any cultist fluff you know is completely crap. While they usually get mutated in time, they don't just start out a normal guy. Say "I love Chaos" and poof they are this hideous beast! Many still look like normal guys which allows them to operate for a while without being noticed. Not trying to be a fluff fanatic but sometimes "protective" older brother kicks in and if I hear crap I am going to call it out. I personally love this pic too though DD

@Shas'elMont'au HA! I actually started a tau sketch a few minutes ago and got on Dakka for reference pics when I saw that there was a new post on my P&M!

@tarar2d2 Yeeees, I've been avoiding it but I'll start figuring an orks' chibi skematics out (do orks HAVE skematics?......better yet, whats a skematic...). I'm thinking that if I can get drawing them, that they will randomly pop up in more drawings! Orks, like Angry Marines, have that way about them....

So I had the sudden urge to draw a Sister of Battle! Then I proceeded to paint her! I really had to do something since I can't play 40k with my brother, who always seems to be busy talking with his girlfriend.... ;D I think that my painting turned out alrightish! I wasn't thorough with the researching their armor and characteristics but, whatever.

For the past two weeks or so I've been sketching out chibi ork concepts. All the while there was this voice in the back of my head that's screaming "YOUR KILLING THE ORK RACE!" and it's true. You really can't make a fugly ork cute. Anyway, I came up with two styles of ork chibis, one has a 'knocked knee' that I usually draw on my girly-girl chibis (....I don't know how it slipped in there.) Let me know which one you like better and I'll keep smoothing out the sketch 'bumps' until I'm satisfied!

Maybe you could start small? Try drawing a chibi Squig. Deyz' arready Squiggly iddle Beasts.

@ Kenshin620 Lol! Yes it does! I've thought about making a comic strip but I cant think up any good "material".

@ Dr. Temujin Thank you! I had had some trouble with the one group on an art website, they had pointed out that "X, Y, and Z" characteristics were missing from the sister and there was no 40k reference. So I wasn't sure if I would get the same remarks here!

Here we go again! Another Sister of Battle and a Wych! I just got done with the SOB "Red and Black" audio drama, it was really good I highly recommend it! So this saturday is a birthday of a friend and we are getting a small group together and playing 40k all day! I'm excited about that and it makes me want to draw more DE! lol I'm sure after that I'll end up drawing a group picture of the game results

So hear is what I've been doing! Sculpting a chibi-ed Space Marine Commander statue! I want to use him as a terrain piece/cake topper for my birthday I've been trying to simplify the power armor but I wasn't quite sure what to leave out or add on. I haven't baked him yet so I can still change things on him. It would be great if you could leave a comment telling me what you'd like to see!

I personally think it looks great! Now get to work on the head/helmet!

I still thinkthat I need to do a few more touches but I need to remember not to clutter it! I was thinking about painting the face on because I'm not that confident in sculpting it!

Yes! Most definitely pics! And there won't be any eatable Space Marines, he's made out of polymer clay which is bake-able plastic clay. I drew up a concept art of what I'd LIKE to make it into but I don't know what I would do with it afterwards! I wonder if I someone would buy it?
What do you think of the squigs? Yes? No?

EDIT- for some reason you have to download the pic, i think its probably the way i scanned it onto the computer. I can try scanning it with a different computer (one that I know how to use!) but it wouldn't be up until next Wednesday.

Maybe this will fix it??

Yes, Yes, YES! I finally got it done! I've really wanted to paint this ever since I drew it and now that I have my tablet it was more convenient to paint it digitally! I like this a lot although what I had in mind was more necrons in the back. I was probably doing something wrong but when I tried to paint the necrons in the background they seemed to "crisp" (?). So they just didn't get put in!
I would have gotten this done on Saturday when Benamint and some buddies of his (and me!) went up to NorthEast for a weekend of 40K. However I forgot to pack my meds for the weekend and went through some nasty withdrawal symptoms! Poor stupid me....
