I would think Cyporiean means a licensed bag... i think the current licensed bags are a mix of 'standard' designs with logos (The Heavy Gear bag) but some are a bit more customized (but higher volumes).

I like my BF Heavy Gear bag (Although I'm waiting for a custom tray to come in... unrelated story.)... I'm actually considering donating an old Sabol bag to a friend (who is the GM for our D&D game) as out character minis seem to end up scattered by his cats.

The BF cases definitely feel a lot sturdier.

A neat product niche for a bag manufacturer would be if they could find or have manufactured a 'rack' for spare trays. I.E. instead of just stacking spare trays on shelves, have a rack they can slide into that is made for them and can help keep dust off the minis. But maybe I'm the only one looking for this...

KR have their carboard system, which then goes into a hardcase. So you pack, say, Guard platoon 1, 2, 3, Russ 1, Russ 2, etc into their own card cases. Then just pack the cases you want into the hardcase when you go to play.

But I'd be all over a rack system for trays. I'd be able to get by with just the one 1520XL, but set up a rack system in a cupboard. Just grab the trays I want that day, throw them in the bag, done.

KyleBattleFoam wrote:We make trays of all sizes. If you want "Sabol" size foam we have the SD line. If you want "Games Workshop" size we have the GW line, that fits in our Shield bag. We have options to fit all your gaming needs. To be very honest we do not get many requests to make a bag at 13" x 7.5". Generally gamers switch for the quality and the fact that you can hold twice as many troops. Some gamers hold on to their bags due to their investment and they buy SD or GW foam to fill their bag.

Kyle
Yeah, it's not the trays that are my desire, but the bags themselves. Although your custom-cut service seems very attractive, and you do make standard-sized trays.
The fitting of twice as many troops isn't much of a draw considering your trays are simply bigger.

Regardless, consider this one request to make a bag that fits 13.5"x7.5" foam
Hope there will be more requests, because I look forward to being one of your customers especially considering the compliments I've heard over the quality of your bags.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm sure second-hand foam wouldn't go for much, but if you plucked it optimally for whatever your army is, there could be an interested buyer out there.
Yeah, that was my original big draw to Sabol and their foam. I got tons of their pluck-foam because those were the only trays on the market that fit my Tyranids and their fiddly-bits and my Eldar and their awkward-sized tanks.

When I got into Malifaux and Infinity, it was tremendously easy just to buy more standard-sized foam because I already had Sabol bags to carry them. All the unbagged foam trays just went on my shelf.

njpc wrote:You basically saying "I want my Toyota's Corrolla's tires to fit on my Pickup Truck." If you want to use Sabol trays, they will fit in their back. If you want to use Battlefoam trays, you use their back. If you are lucky enough to find a provider who uses / fits both, good for you. But what your asking is a custom order... you could always call them and put in such an order if that's what you want. Nothing is stopping you as a consumer from doing that. I'm sure if you want a custom case, they'd make one for you for a fee.
That analogy seems flawed in many ways primarily because I don't have a tremendous investment in tens of Toyota Corolla-fitted tires.

Either way, both Battlefoam and KR Multicase have noted that they have no plans on making bags of the size requested.

As an aside, I'm not arrogantly demanding that companies accommodate my needs. I'm just a single individual with a common issue: my current trays and great and I want a new bag. I'm simply curious if Battlefoam had any plans to possibly cater to me or others.

Why don't you just buy more Sabol bags or are you looking specifically for the Battlefoam rigid-side construction?

I know Sabol bags aren't the best ( I still have 3 motor pools), but they work. Before I got Battlefoam, heck even after getting a 1520 and 720, my favorite bag is the special Mk II bags made for Bolter & Chainsword/the Waaagh. I'd buy another one if they changed it to Battlefoam sized trays.

I find the Sabol bags to be a bit squishy and would love a BF bag for Sabol size trays.
