There is plenty about it that turns me off. I may quit if true.

I love my Orks, but everything I am hearing makes it seem like we are going to have a constantly uphill battle with things like Defensive fire, CCW cutting any save we have and making entire styles of units immune to our assualt rather than unlikely as heck. In the current edition i struggle to take down annoyances like Night Spinners or Vendettas with my entire army unless I have a Kamikaze Deff Kopta. But If my ground forces can't discourage the enemy from passing right over me knowing my assaults are impossible it makes fighting IG, Dark Eldar, Tau & Eldar a much harder chore than in my mind it should be. I am seeing assaulty / fearless armies being slowed so the speed they are mentioning we gain in assaults is utter crap cause even snipers can slow us or take out our nob with no problem now...

All and all I am very disappointed and hope this isn't the edition that comes to be otherwise I am considering a halting of the game.

I've never really quit, but this sounds like the edition that brings back the fun.

You didn't read the whole thing did you? Not everyone will be able to DF you. Your red vehicles are faster. Deathrollers are better with ramming units now effective. You actually have an excuse to use 'ard case. Deffkopters can do bombing runs. Your assault range increased. You're able to hit things with shooting more easily than before with your lootas.

Etc. But if you want to sell me your army for $40, I'll buy it and you can rage-quit.

sorry bud this times 1000 it's an investment I won't ever sell em but I might just hate tactics of a certain edition

I'm certainly not quitting. It's been only a year or so since I got back to the game and I'm enjoying it. Besides, I won't let an investment of more than 500€ go to waste because someone said my army got nerfed. This is my army, this is my hobby, and I plan to make it last. Besides, testing out different builds and tactics till I find the golden spot sounds like a fun prospect.

That said, I like the "leaked" rules. But even if I didn't, I'd play regardless. If this document of dubious authenticity is the future, I embrace it.

So, Grey Knights, Imperial Guard, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Daemons, Tau, Sisters, Tyrannids, Dark Angels, Black Templars, Blood Angels, Wolves, Ultramarines, Marines all... Who's coming to get me? Fair enough. I wasn't talking about those folks though. I'm talking about the folks who come in and say "Yeah, I don't play 40k at all anymore and I think this is the worst thing to happen to 40k ever."

I know that you still play 40k, H.B.M.C, even if it isn't the same 40k version I may play. I'm not talking about that.

Seems weird to me, but I guess it is a modeling hobby as well, so that shouldn't be too shocking.

While I haven't left 40K, I don't play as much. Today I bought Hoards. If this Leak is real then I think this will keep in 40K and not collect Hoards.

If 40K keeps the same as 3-5th, then I honestly think I will be loosing inerest in 40K and move onto other games.

I am tired of 40K being small tweaks where you need to buy new minis. I want to buy new minis for major tweaks not just a slight improvement over the prior edition.

I do not want a Wii where I have no big hard drive, no HD compatibilty, where I can't listen or watch DVD movies.

So if 6th edition is just like the Wii with maybe able to listen to CD music and watch DVDs but no hard drive or HD compatabilty, it will be time to move onto something that does this.

At the time of this post, with a whopping 80% of the votes showing some form of yes, and almost 16% showing that it would likely bring them back to the game, I really hope someone at GW happens to read and pay attention to this thread....regardless of if the PDF is real or not.

Aye interesting numbers for the positive. Ideally I'd like to see about one thousand votes, just as thats a good number to take indicators from.

Think I've mentioned this somewhere but Manticores are now severely nerfed in these rules. You can't overlap pie plates so against small squads it'd only get one plate, same with vehicles.

I'm thinking that might not be too bad since I've personally always liked more LR's. The manticore came out of no where for me when people were saying it's good as before I played as IG, I always thought that Earthshakers were the best IG arty

I agree actually, always thought Leman Russes were just badass.
The multi-targetting helps them, too. They can still move and fire ordinance+one weapon, or remain stationary and fire hull and sponsons (not that you'd want to but the options always there).
Also the Leman Russ Exterminator could be a bit more viable, since it'd be the Exterminator cannon+two heavy bolters firing.

I haven't touched a GW product in years at this point. I still keep up with news on it on the off chance something happens with it. When I heard about the possible leak I decided to give it a look. All I can say is that if GW goes this route they may well have me back as a customer again. If note, well, I still have the leaked copy and will just keep playing it.

This set of rules gave me that same feeling I got when I sat down and read my 2nd Edition rulebook for the first time and overall I think these are the rules that 3rd Edition should have been. They are cleaned up, steamlined but with plenty of options from minute to minute. They also go to the trouble on trying not to overload terms and look like (if they are real) they will be really clear and concise after they get their first edit and proof (because I doubt this copy has seen either yet).

Hell, if GW publishes a rule set as good as this then I may even buy minis from them again (maybe not, but they can dream ).
