And there was me thinking this would be a thread about Ebola Zaire.....
As for virus', I don't have much experience with them tbh. I have had a few serious ones over the years though, so bad that they required a full scouring of my HDD and/or a complete reboot. In the worst case I had to buy a whole new PC!

I used Avast and norton bot. I say used because the windows antivirus 2012 rogue got past them and wrecked my PC... Ok not wrecked, but I can't get rid of the thing >_>

Avast, SUPERantispyware, CCleaner, Uniblue Suite, Spybot S&D (but turn that poxy teatimer the hell off).

You need to get a program called rKill that kills malicious processes, and then download malwarebytes, which can clear off the windows antivirus type stuff. also, you may need to boot in Safe Mode.

Yes, I'm aware that you don't trawl very deep. It just sounded cool.

I keep one of my Baneblade's on my hard drive at all times to scare any nasty viruses way from my precious holy hard drive.
I keep my Commisar next to my router, so make sure it stays at peak efficiency and does not commit heresy against the God-Emperor.
