That makes sense, Guy. Thanks. And you're right, I forgot they were Abhumans. I still think it counts for something though, abhumans aren't mutants, or chaos, but I think much of the imperium would have a difficult time accepting them into the guard.

Kind of along the lines of how Horus did not immediately attack those aliens in the Horus Heresy book, and it wasn't until they were attacked during the peace negotiations. Also, weren't there non-human allies to the IoM back in older editions? Such as squats, ratlings, ogryns?

I always kinda figured the EoM to be very intelligent, logical, and understanding, albeit harsh.

Those "aliens" were humans. When Horus learned they had some alien citizens he knew there couldnever be peace with them.
Squats, Ratlings and Ogryns are humans.

I don't question the Emperor's method's, he knows more about the nature of all living beings than we can ever imagine...but that's not to say he is all-knowing, the Heresy proved that.

I will forever remain humble because I know I could have less.
I will always be grateful because I remember I've had less.

it was more like he knew all about how things were, but he had zero people skills. He couldn't see that there would be issues with his Primarchs down the road. He assumed they would be completely and utterly loyal.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
