You don't know him. And you don't know my family. Me, him and my father make the best of a bad situation and always see the brighter side. He wasn't brain damaged, that was good. So we laugh it off. He and I are very close, we insult one another and tease one another constantly, but it isn't like we mean it.

Anyway, once again the thread has derailed whenever I post, carry on with whatever it was you were discussing and let us just drop it, lest another thread gets locked.

as bad as it is, they do not get much of what you say he does, maybe misdiagnosis?

I'm genuinely surprised at how many of you know someone who has Aspergers or have it yourself. I've never met anyone with it before.

Certainly seems like a debilitating condition, at least from a personal development point of view. I can't imagine how difficult it is to get jobs, or find people that accept you for who you are. Must be tough.

I have trouble making eye contact, and I constantly worry that I'm putting the wrong message out there. People confront me about it occasionally, and I don't know what to say. I think at a young age, I didn't have a problem with it, but it got to be the worst around age 12-15. Anyway, I'm just trying to put aspergers into perspective for myself.

He has hyper-sensitive nerve endings causing him to over react to stimuli. He cannot wear fresh socks because of how they feel.He has to remove labels from clothes because they drive him insane. He has the social skills of a dead frog. He has to have a routine, if it is broken it ruins his whole day and it all goes wrong. Everything has to be fair and equal. He can taste sounds, certain sounds make him feel sick because they leave a bad taste in his mouth... Apparently, these are all signs of asbergers.
