Hey, I agree about the lack of Blood Angels blogs! The only ones I know of are Jawaballs (all he talks about are his banners) and Sepulchre of Heroes.

I've got painting progress, unit comparisons, rumors and just a collection of Blood Angels news and painter spotlights.

I did a painting tutorial for my Stormraven and in the next week or two I'm gonna be doing a painting tutorial on assault marines (probably video this time). Check it out, leave comments and let me know what you think.

Who do people think is the best special character in our codex? Not just in battle performance wise, but fluff wise as well?

Gotta tell you - I like all of them. They each add something to the fluff of the Blood Angels, exploring some aspect of these doomed, well-intentioned but deeply flawed heroes. Rules-wise, they are all well-realized. Dante does amazing things to a cadre of Sanguinary Guard, Lemartes and Mephiston are horrors in close combat, as is Gabriel Seth, and the Sanguinor changes the way your army works in cool ways.

I suppose it's easier to say which special character doesn't thrill me, rules-wise - Corbulo. He's expensive, I can't give him a jump pack, and I don't think his rules add that much, really.

I actually have to disagree about Dante. Dante's rules suck for his points cost. Dante shouldn't be anything over 175 points. He does give him and a squad he is with no Deep Strike scatter, but you can't put him with Vanguard Veterans. Hit and Run is ok, but the worst part is that he's strength 4. You'd think he'd be a little better than that. All Dante is really good for is making Sanguinary Guard troops, which is an ok army at best in my opinion.

I have to say I really like Dante and have always found he makes up his worth in points.

I just think with all the new characters looking so dynamic, he just looks so flat, and I have no desire to get him painted. The same goes with Corbulo, and he doesn't have the appeal of being a monstrous creature which lets face it Mephiston might as well be.
