When you need to give Orks a save, call in the guard

Nids, as an IG player it's fun to play an army that both sides have a fighting chance to win.

IG with the guns, Nids with the close combat nasty's.

It's not like facing BA, space wolves, or grey knights where they can do EVERYTHING great or decent, and nothing bad.

Well nobody is good at everything. BA can't shoot specially well and are very elite, SW arent amazing at alpha-strike, GK can't deal with AV 14 easily

The norm for my area is MEQ death-star vs. death-star, so taking them apart with mobs of guardsmen is fun.

Guardsmen, Fire!

How many guardsmen does it take to kill a 10 Termie TH/SS squad on average?

In tournaments, orks, easy autowin.

In friendly play, marines since their statlines are easy to remember and they are not overly complicated to play against.

Are Orks really that easy to beat though?

Depends if you have in your list the ability to kill the hordes of dudes and take all the silly shots.

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

It depends on luck, but get two squads, and some FRFSRF, and they'll go down. Maybe not immediately, but they'll go down.

I said they're easy to beat in tournaments because I use lots of long range s8 weapons and use them for sideshots on their vehicles or to instakill nob bikers. In a friendly setting I'm not gonna bring 12 missile shots and five lasplas backs because I think it would be rude.

Orks put out an unreasonable amount of shots with Shoota boyz, tbh its sillyness when a mob of 15 shoota and 15 slugga /choppa boyz unload into you, regardless of your armor, your gonna lose some models

Imps. I love how Imotek just shuts down my friend's army.

Necrons are fun too, because killing all of your fancy vehicles is just plain enjoyable

Anything that isn't MEQ or IG. Never faced CSM, but I imagine it could be a fun break from the standard MEQ...

I remember the first time I faced necrons, and more specificly chaos demons with my orks. Had to re-think my regular strategies then and there.,. I miss facing CWE though, my mate who played 'em keep insisting the latest rulebook gimped 'em..,
