I hate the Blood Angels battleforce. Who cares for Tactical Marines in Blood Angels? Its an awful idea to run them in Blood Angels. Also a Rhino is kind of meh. Blood Angels prefer Razorbacks anyways.

The worse thing I've had happen was the Sgt. Telion I ordered arms wouldnt fit together (the one holding the bolter) and one of the arms ultramarines symbols was completely ruined.

I thought about calling and complaining, but, in the end, I knew what i was getting into buying metal models after finecast came out.

Is there a permanent stickied thread for Chaos players to complain every time someone/anyone gets models or rules besides them? If not, there should be.

No. Do not want. I love my hormies.

There was a kid that was new to the game at the local GW who bought a space marine battleforce that was stuffed to the gills with assault marines. There must have been about 40 assault marines in the box. From what I understand he's deciding on blood angels

They're not really intended to. Battleforces are 'boosters' not 'starters'.

The thing is, back when they had the Russ in there, you didn't really save anything over just buying the models separately. That Guard BF was the worst value BF they released through 3rd or 4th edition.

The point was that if the battleforce didn't represent any significant saving over buying the miniatures separately, and those miniatures can still be purchased separately, the change to the battleforce doesn't really change anything. You can still buy a Russ, a Cadian squad and a Heavy Weapon squad if you feel so inclined. Tape the boxes together before you open them, if you really get that much joy out of them all coming out of a single package.

Could someone rip GW off by saying their missing the whole battleforce kit, when they really still have the whole thing?

I also bought a battleforce and didnt have any bases.

That is if you choose to ignore the heavy weapon squad and go for two veterans. Which then, what is the point if it was designed for an Infantry platoon? Which then would make no HQ 1 Troop and 1 fast attack sentinal.

Not really that legal in terms of what they were thinking of

I still use Hormagaunts without issue. And Carnifexes.

The problem with Hormagaunts isn't that they're awful, it's that Termagants buffed by a Tervigon are broken good. I'd be quite happy if they threw the Carnifex back in (which I still use over Trygons), and put 16 Hormagaunts in the box and took out the Termagants.

They would want proof of something that big, but if you call up and say "i'm missing X sprue" they will often send you a whole new kit.

I had a friend buy a Carnifex that was missile its tail piece. They sent him a whole new Carnifex box(so he cast the new tail and got a 2nd Carnifex for free!)

^This.

Which honestly is the only way for them to have a "bad" Battleforce, seeing as there's zero horribad entry in the 'dex.

The problem with a Grey Knights battleforce is since the army ends up being only a few overly elite units and a couple of vehicles, a Battleforce will likely be the bulk of an army. Like, a box of TAGK, two PAGK and maybe a Dreadknight. You've got the bulk of an army. You might add a box or two of PAGK to it and a couple more vehicles, but that's it. They don't want to put out a discounted box.

My guess for a GK battleforce would be 3 boxes of PAGK, a rhino, and a box of terminators.

Advertised as a 10 man GK Strike Squad with a Rhino, a 5 man Interceptor squad, and a 5 man Terminator squad.

Problem with that with all that it is around 150 bucks where they try to sell them for just around 100 US, so they would really be making it like a 120 dollor box or maby more and you wouldint really get all that much savings or they would get a expensive bit in lose for making ti cheaper which they never do.
