The only thing I can read is "6th Edition - 2012", I think the rest of that sign says some along the lines of "______ is dawning", but I can't read any more than that.
Someone will post it soon enough though...
Nice thread, Red'.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

GW could always release a limited run of a "collector's edition" with the 25 year anniversary logo and maybe some additional goodies, in addition to a normal edition with the usual logo. But since they haven't done that yet, I don't see any reason to think they would start now!
Regardless, if physical copies were already floating around at stores, I can't imagine that information would stay secret for too long. This is probably a well-made printed overlay pasted onto a 4th/5th book.

Perfect excuse to charge extra for a limited edition collectors set .
Which is not really a bash at GW, since most companies release special edition packs with new releases.

Pity that the anniversary books don't seem to sell for bugger all.

Not up on my Tyranid models, what's the big thing with lots of claws and a huge headpiece (with bone spines) to the left of the question mark?

Weird that they'd put a scratch-build or conversion in this diorama. We sure it's not a new model?

I doubt it is as I'm fairly certain this was/is a diorama assembled in a store somewherefarawayfromGWHQ who would be unlikely to have new models and/or copies of the rulebook.
Couldn't say for definate, but unlikely IMO.

We've not seen anything 'yet'.
And it looks very standard for some converted Dooms I have seem - Trygon spines on head-crest bit, Hormagaunt arms - all on a normal Zoanthrope. We'd need to see different angles to be sure.
And if that is the 'real thing'....
Then it's one hell of a let down.

Only thing that jumps out at me on that photo is the 'mock up' 6th edition book has a very thick spine, with the 40k logo on it, which unless I'm mistaken looks bigger then if the current book is being used as a dummy.
But I could be wrong.

It isn't GW that's doing this. The pics come from Overmind74's photostream.
Our 40K 25th Anniversary tribute
Something we made for the store I work at. Each edition, with some of its respective models and templates.
So it is neither news, nor rumor. It is just someone doing a fan tribute and putting it into a case for display.
