Now this picture is from Gw's Facebook page, although it seems to have disappeared currently.

I don't think there's any new models there, just some conversions, but a look at the covers and the barely legible text on the labels..

.. and people say they've got no sense of humour eh ?

Is that question mark on the book on the shelf or is that digitally imposed?

Looking closely it's on the book. You can see that it's a separate piece of paper on it.

Or at least that's how it looks on the zoomed version.

Noticed this earlier, the label in front seems to say "6th edition 2012" followed by something else but I couldn't make it out, wonder if anyone will get in trouble...

IIRC the snap was from a GW store somewhere, rather than their HQ itself.

Nice snap though.

Oh, thanks to Mr. Ruthven from 'seer for the initial spot, must admit I glanced at it and moved on initially.

Look really closely at the 6th edition book the way the ligth is reflectng off the top left corner it looks like it has some shrink wrap around it and the question mark is on a piece of paper inside ??

Can't make it out clearly but the lower text does appear to be a translation, maybe Spanish not sure.

I tend to doubt that's the actual book, just an old one with a mocked up cover. I don't believe the actual rulebook would have the 25th ann. logo on it, it'd look a bit daft in a couple of years otherwise.

What's the funny thing I'm missing? Is it in the labels before each display?

The 6th Ed book with the question mark isn't funny. Maybe you meant the Squats that are in the picture?

Maybe it's some sort of 'Modern Art' display. I'd bet it would be called "The Decline...".

I think it's funny that the Tyranids in front of the newer books still have the old-style "bright green base" from the 90's.

Can anyone make out what the subtitles are on the placards?

I also like how the 2nd Ed rulebook... isn't the 2nd Ed rulebook. It's just Codex Imperialis. Of course, given that 1st and 2nd Ed had the same picture on their rulebooks it might be a little confusing.

Under the rogue trader I can make out "In the Beginning"

Cannot tell what 2nd is for the life of me.

Under 3rd ed. I think it's "New Terror".

4th ed I can also make out "These...[?]...Need...[?]"

5th seems to be "The War ...[Continues?]"

Finally 6th took me a while but it looks like: "Change is coming"

I can try though it won't be 100% accurate due to how blurry it is.

The top of each is the edition name and year of release. It'll take some time but I'll give it a shot.

Be easy to change the cover art after the first print run to remove it. But I agree, don't think it would be the way GW would go with it. Are we close enough to a release that actual copies may be floating around already? That would be my reservation.

I'm just curious about the models by each addition. I know back in 4th there was the battle for McCragg with the genestealers in front of that book, and 5th has the Ork Boss from Black reach. Why are there so many Nids in front of the potential 6th ed book? Not to rumor monger or cast doubt on current rumors but it makes one wonder.

It's to show the evolution of Nid aesthetic styles(hence why 2nd and 3rd also have Nids in their area despite not having them in the boxes for either edition).

I tend to doubt its the actual cover because of the big question mark in the middle of it. The novelty of a big question mark on the cover would wear even quicker than a 25th aniversary logo.

The question mark is definetly not on the actual cover. Man this is a huge teaser and it just makes me angry that 6th is still so far away. God I hate 5th

Can someone who CAN actually read the little signs please interpret them? They just look like a jumble of blurred letters to me.

It basically says Warhammer 6th Edition on the little sign. You can click on the image to get a bigger, slighly less blurry version.

But to be honest, it's not really news anymore. We all know 6th edition is coming out within the year.

I don't know, I think it's refreshing that GW are actually telling us what they're working on, like any other 2012 game company instead of the wall of complete silence they've been operating under. The more teasers, hints and info on what's coming next, the better.
