No I know about the battle damage, it's very neat and well defined. What I mean is large patches of zimmerit that are very shallow to the point of being very hard to notice. It may just be my eyes playing tricks on me, I'll look into them again after work.
They dried white again, tho the powdery texture seems to be gone. You said they are safe to prime like this?
First Tiger is done. took a lot longer than I expected, I truly forgot how long small, fiddly details take to set with superglue.

Spoiler:
"Siberians" right after their bath last night, this is why I got really nervous. Having never seen resin do this, I was a little freaked out.
First assembly, took a while to get everything down. Opted for closed hatches for first build, will make 2 of them with hatches open I think, one with full crew (commander, radioman, driver) sticking out, one with just Wittmann poking his head up.
And final tiger, seems very fragile yet solid at the same time, those side skirts over the tracks were a pain to put on, and I can see why in the Tigers on the box and in the book they only put these on a few haha.
More to come tomorrow I hope! Building this beast has been a lesson in patience.
I have to be honest, the Quality of BF Metal is atrocious. I have gotten used to PSC and Forged in Battle, going back to a part Resin part metal Kit is bloody annoying. The pieces are badly cast, they rarely fit well they need a fair amount of work and 90% of the time if it was moulded on in Resin it wouldn't bother you.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!
I agree 100%, all the metal bits on this had to be filed/bent/trimmed to even come close to fitting on. Add the fact that the track guards on the front and back have almost no contact area with the tank, and you have one time consuming and annoying job getting everything to hold properly.
That being said, having left the model to dry overnight it feels very solid now, heavy as well. It certainly looks good, though I agree if all the parts were resin I'd have build all 5 last night. The pewter feels ridiculously soft, and bends under even the slightest stress. I had one hell of a time getting the 88 straight after filing it.
Overall, not the best models to work with. They certainly look great assembled however.
I do love my Tigers they are just so solid it's just a right faff getting the superglue to work without using a kicker.

2nd Tiger complete, wanted this one to have the crew out of their hatches, as though they were just coming in from the long march. Gave their tank a damaged hull and turret, both which have heavy glancing hits to the front. Roughened up the track guards and skirts to make the tiger look like it had been out in the field a long time.

EDIT: Aaaaaand I just realized I put some of the hatches on backwards. Wonder if I can pry off the closed one, the one the loader is popping up through however will be obviously wrong unless I removed the loader and the hatch, durrr me.

Quick post, been super busy past few days so apologies for no more tigers. Also pried loader hatch off the 2nd tiger, can't decide whether to leave it off (battle damage yo) or try to put it on the correct way. Latter has proved difficult so far, as it looks awkward and like the loader is making-out with the hatch.
