I shot a Hydra at my best mates long fang pack, all four missed, then, all four rerolled and hit. Four wounds, four ones for his saves and he pretty much gave up on the battle at that point. I had to work very hard not to jibe him about it!

My father, back when he played his Tau, rolled 21 1s in one round of shooting.

His next comment was "Yahtzee!"

EDIT: I'd like to note, this was one throw of the dice. His Firewarriors didn't earn any medals for that round of shooting, heh.

I have literally gone an entire turn of shooting a Necron gunline (BS 4) and hit absolutely nothing. Not even a chance to wound.

No. hits.

Back in 3rd edition, I remember being in an 1850pt 40k tournament. I was playing space marines and my opponent for the round was tyranids. A squad of 25-30ish hormagaunts charged one of my tac squads. He picks up like, 90 dice so I'm thinking "oh snap, here it comes." He then proceeds to hit me a total of seven times. Both of us were in shock. the TO laughed, took a picture of all the 1s and 2s, and went on his way.

who would have thought we failed to get any damage on it? the genestealers had 2 normals and the broodlord left and the trygon prime took 4 wounds!
luckily the dice gods felt they had tortured me enough and blessed me with decent regeneration rolls.

These are small fry. My last game in a 2v2 battle I use anrakyr to steal the russ that fires 20 str 5 shots into the rear armor of a chimera. 8 Glances/pens. I immobilize it, and destroy its last weapon and roll nothing but 1s for the rest of the dice. So I then fire my chrono/destroyer court at the thing. Doing nothing but shaking and stunning it again. So I then rapid fire my gauss immortals into it who were suppose to kill the guardsmen inside. Shake shake shake.

At this point I assumed the guardsmen inside have been so shaken all of their necks are broken. However during the assault phase my partner gets 29 auto hitting bloodletter attacks. And rolls a single glancing hit. Luckily he rolls a weapon destroyed. So now the Ogryn get to come out completely unharmed in the middle of our advancing force.

Real bad luck shows when you are rolling more than 3 dice!

I notice my Lascannons on my predators will usually only score 1 hit out of the two cannons at BS4, and the Autocannon will only score one hit as well.

Sometimes neither Lascannon hits, but that is usually after both Autocannon shots hit.

our gaming group has one player that will always fail many saves or LD checks, he rolls low when he needs to roll high, and he rolls high when he needs low numbers. its interesting.

Nearly every Terminator save comes up a 1 for me. Their Invulnerable saves are not a problem though?!?!?!?

I played a gane yesterday where for 4 turns I shot with 2 units of long fangs at one squad of 3 eldar av 10 vehicles and never destroyed a single one, in the last turn I managed to take a weapon off and that was all.

My first game of 40k ever (about 2 months after the release of 3rd Ed).

My 5 terminators advance across the board.

Bunch of guardians fire catapults at them.

Failed all armour saves.

I didn't use terminators again until WD gave them their 5+ invul.

Funny story...for my opponent .

His Terminators failed all their armor saves when in cc with some fire warriors; he wasn't very pleased

My Wraithlord (with 2 wounds left) with a Wraithblade was charged by a 10 man Immortal squad and an attached Overlord with Gauntlet of Fire. I hit first (of course) with my 2 attacks. I miss both. Luckily I have re-roll. I miss both again. Then his Overlord (who is the only one who can hurt a Wraithlord) hit me 4 times and hurt me twice. I roll double 1s for my saves. That Wraithlord would have instagibbed that Overlord before he even got to attack!

It evened out later, because next turn a 7-man Guardian squad with a Warlock and Farseer charged the Immortal squad. The Warlock and Farseer murdered the Overlord, and the Guardians killed 4 Immortals. I didn't fail a single 5+ or 4++ save. He ran and I swept him. I like Guardians more now.

Last week I moved both my hammerheads into difficult terrian and rolled 1's ... both immobilzed on turn one.

I played a game of In the Emperor's Name a few days ago. I took a warband of Chaos Renegades, my opponents tooled out Harelquins. The objective was to take out a Dreadnought at the center of the table (though we soon found out that the rules were broken and it was pretty much impossible to destroy it, even with me rolling the highest possible score on my first role, so we ended up having a straight up fight instead). After a few turns a trend started to develope, I was rolling constant sixes (that many that I swapped my dice, but that didn't solve the problem), wheras my opponent just couldn't make the dice add up ("anything but a one" was like nails on a chalkboard by the end of the game to him). I wound up winning the game with three models to spair, but I suspect that it would have been the other way around if the dice gods weren't so screwy that day.

A fun game though, and great practice for the campaign we're starting next week. ^^
