You presented the story as if it was something you had done or were going to do. If it was your opponent handing you the funky die, why didn't you present the story in that fashion isntead of saying. .
"If
my opponent doesn't have a scatter die and asks to borrow
mine, would it be technically legal to hand
him a die that had no 'HIT' facings?"
If you were talking about your opponent and not yourself, then you should've presented that fact more clearly. The forum doesn't just assume that you're not talking about yourself when you say "my" and "mine".
