I just picked up one of these from Lowes and it's great!

It's very tough, loads of room and the middle part has sectional removable walls. I will get some foam trays for it and then be all set.

I started playing in 2002. I purchased a Craftsman Toolbox. Used Magnetic tape at the bottom of my guys, and I never had a problem with my infantry models. But it does have some drawbacks. Vehicle heavy armies have problems fitting everything into one. None of my Landraiders fit. Also the box it self is heavy as all get out.

For this reason last Thanksgiving I purchased a Battle Foam 1520XL. I love the fact that now 80% of my Blood Angels fit in one bag. I went with custom trays (Precut, and my own design.

The only problem I have is the first time I went somewhere I broke about 6 models. The reason was the poses I had made them stick out from their trays. After some adjusting and I know which tray must be on top, I have not broke any more models.

Now everyone has a different take on which is the best. I like Battle Foam, but they have their disadvantages.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

If I don't, it's KR's fault.

I was having issues figuring out how their web site worked, with building different boxes, so I sent them a list of models I was building the army up to. For the vehicles, I gave them measurements (height, etc). They did all the configuring and came back to me with the answers.
The biggest kicker was the vehicles. With 9 Raider hull vehicles at minimum and 2 Razorwings... that eats up a LOT of Real Estate.

KR have cases that will hold 4 raider/ravagers for 30 quid, what's that $50?

Three Ravagers & 2 Raiders:

Five Raiders:

Comparing those prices (almost half)... I'll stick with battlefoam

8 Rhinos and their derivatives (Whirlwinds, Predators, Razorbacks, etc)
2 Land Raiders
4 Dreadnoughts
100 troops
something like 40 elites (less the turrets/bits from the tanks)

Plus the bag itself can fit my codex, dice, rulebook, templates, everything.

While I don't think battle foam can match that price, I'm still not sure if I would have bought battlefoam. I haven't really looked into them that much. They seem like a great option, but the foam looks a bit too stiff. I've seen deffkopta's rotors get crushed because the foam didn't deform to match them. Things like that.

Battlefoam can't match that price but, for about $50 more, you can get a case with trays that'll hold all that plus about half that much again.
Also, you mentioned another reason I'm glad I went with BF over KR. KR's trays are squishy foam. I don't like squishy foam. There's no resistance to crush. Although BF's foam can break models, that's a User Malfunction. It means you have the model in an incompatable spot.

KR does it for me, but the only other one i have tried is battlefoam, it was a bit too stiff for my liking, thats not to say others dont like it though as you can see.
