It's a very dynamic game. The unpredictable chance element allows for the insane last stands or underdog wins that makes me love military history. Sounds like a great idea Ratius! (fair warning that it may take time to pan out time for a game on my end)

I think Atlas wins best response on that one. Weird moment of the night for me is the fact that someone just ate a grapefruit near me that smells EXACTLY like the plastic cement I use on my models...doesn't fill me with much trust in the fruit or the glue

Yeah, we'd probably have to figure out a gameplan, and I'm assuming we'd probably all use our respective marine armies. I'm assuming he meant 3-on-1 but it'd be good clear that up, cause there might be a few fun tricks to try there.

I know I'm pretty much locked in on standard SM. That's the only army I have even the slightest grasp on.

hmm, the polls have been pretty even on who'd win here, that's pretty encouraging on both our ends, makes the outcome more of a mystery cause of people seeing this as possibly more open-ended...interesting!

Indeed. The deployment type was so incredibly influential on our match that it gives no indication on who will win whenever we get a chance to run another game.

yeah, I'd have had to deal with two vindicators...hmm. I'd probably hope to get a furioso nearby and ideally pop it, and use my stormraven...

but there'd be a lot more targets for me to deal with and your shooting phases, early on especially, would have been interesting.

And my Thunderfire, if in a non-Dawn of War deployment, could shoot first turn and could play some havoc in a few very annoying ways.
