And the KFF isn't a 'terrain' Cover save. As I've said elsewhere, it's a Field Effect (hence Force Field) which means it permeates everything in the area it covers, and thus provides a cover save against things like Barrage weaponry, where Cover is measuered from within the 'terrain'.

Aha, found it in the rulebook, ta dude another one i just remembered, one guy asked why ork players don't try get a cover save if the vehicle they are in is in a KFF bubble, tbh i have never played that way as it seems daft to try claim a cover save from the KFF when a vehicle you are in explodes, but as he said there is nothing he can see in any of the rules that say you cant.

If the wounds caused by an exploding vehicle are treated like shooting attacks, and the KFF provides saves against shooting attacks, then the KFF provides a cover save from from those wounds. After all, it is a "Force Field" that provides the cover save and not terrain.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time. |

It seems more and more apparent that everyone in your store is doing their best to mitigate and ultimately neuter the powerful forces of a KFF.
However, I think that taking KFF saves on a unit that's embarked in a transport that explodes is out--as the unit's not technically on the field or somesuch. But then again I'm tired as hell right now and might be talking out of my ass.

Thats what i thought, as the unit takes the hits before being placed they are technically not on the table, and the guy was trying to give me that advantage tbh
