Conversions with Infinity models are not easy at all, just to forewarn. The level of detail on these things is so fantastic that it gets rather difficult to mod the models.
I'd got with the Sniper Sin Eater then. There is currently no Spitfire model and the Sniper is beautiful. The sniper has 2 less shots which hurts a bit, but they are DA shots and you won't be outranged like a spitfire.

Check out my Necromunda blog. I'm converting a squad from Infinity miniatures right now. It's not easy but its fun. If you still think the Sniper is the best tactical choice i'm happy with that. This would be the list:
GROUP 1 (Regs: 10/Irrs: 0):
REVEREND CUSTODIER Hacker Combi Rifle + Marker / Pistol, Knife (38 | 0.5)
ZERO Hacker Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife (30 | 0.5)
VERTIGO ZOND Guided Missile Launcher / Electric Pulse (34 | 1)
SALYUT Electric Pulse (13 | 0.5)
SIN-EATER MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, CCW (39 | 1.5)
3x MODERATOR Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse (9)
LIZARD MULTI HMG, Heavy Grenade Launcher / (96 | 2)
 LIZARD PILOT Pistol, Knife
CLOCKMAKER Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife (18)
ZONDBOT Electric Pulse (3)
298 Points | SWC: 6

Awesome, thanks for all your help and to everyone else who chipped in. It's going to be a lot of fun for sure, i'll try and start when the Necromunda squad is out of the way.

Slight change of plan, at some point along the line i confused the Szalamandra and Lizard models. Either that or as my love of the Szalamandra grew so did my hatred of the Lizard. Whatever the case i need to swap them over which means going back to a general Nomad list which means no link teams which means the moderators look a bit rubbish. I'm not sure what to do with them...

So, in an effort to put together a Nomad force as my second army for others to learn with, I just ran the starter pack through the army builder. Not bad, came to just over 100 points. Then I noticed my favorite moel in the Nomad range, the Reverend Custodier with combi rifle, took it up to a legal 150 point force.
Would this be a decent starter? It's light on special weapons (everything has a combi rifle aside from the mobile brigada which has a multi rifle), but for a starter force I figured the less the better. Also gives me a base to add to.

Both of those lists will do very well Loki and Casey.
@Loki - it will work very well as a "starter force" and the Custodier will give you a grand preview of Nomad hacking since she comes with a Marker. You shoot deployable repeaters up field which are basically wifi hotspots. You can then hack through those to take down enemy bots, HI, TAGs, etc. At 150pts her ODD will increase her survivability infinitely.

Haha, very good!
I agree that that list will be good for you Loki, fair bit of fun to have with it.
I don't foresee anymore changes to my list now Blue, sorry for all the hassle, it took ages to get that sorted out! I've ordered my Szally to play with, fingers crossed i can get it this week.

However the major problem you will find in "making a list" in Infinity is that since everything is viable and there is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many options, you'll never spot collecting. The is one list that I can honestly say I have played more then once, otherwise it's a new list every time.

True, i tend to build an army and stick with it but i think Infinity might break that trend.

My main concern is lack of variety in weapons, but I'm not overly sure how combi rifles and multi rifles work or the difference between the various Nomad models. My 150pt Haqqislam force to oppose it would likely have a lot more variety in weapons. That's my main worry with Infinity. I tend to limit my armies in games due to the cost of putting together an army. But with Infinity? A starter and a couple of models gives you a great core to expand on. And by expand, that means a few more models. Infinity is just too cheap
Hopefully this makes it easier to get my friends into it. Automatically Appended Next Post: BlueDagger wrote:Conversions with Infinity models are not easy at all, just to forewarn. The level of detail on these things is so fantastic that it gets rather difficult to mod the models.
Depends what the conversion is, really. Like, I have a mind to do a few Haqqislam doctor conversions. All it requires is buying the Ghulam doctor, clipping the hands off the air-syringe, putting a grip on it from another gun, and putting that and the medkit on the belt of another model.
All depends on the extent of the conversion you want.

This. I feel Nomads get a little (just a little) less special weapons than everyone else. Is this true, or am I just missing something?

They are more hacker orientated so that might be true. That said there are some great options to add special weapons, Sin-Eaters for example. Or Intruders really pack a punch!
