The Kill Kannon is AP3 which is about the only thing in it's favour.

I'd keep battlewagons cheap w/ a single big shoota, red paint and a deffrolla. it's worked out well for me

Same, although I do add armor plates to any wagon that is ment as transport.
I find the burna loadout as mentioned before highly competitive, but transporting Nobs + Warboss or 20 boyz has worked great for me too.

In friendly games I sometimes run a Killkannon, with on board KFF, but then I load it out with more dakka, like 2 rokkit launchas and a kannon.
It's not very competitive, but I always have fun driving my wagon around and blowing stuff up.

In your squads, doing the chainsword tango

He said its ID if your not MEQ. Yet its very very common knowledge that the burna wagon will vape TEQ's.
Also, he said dropping the templates after death rolling, but IIRC (probably not lol ) that's a ram/tank shock, and you cannot shoot after performing such an action...

The vehicle may not shoot after ramming, but there is no such limitation for the passengers. Actually, there are no special rules at all for tank-transports.

I thought so. I remember the vehicle couldn't, the IIRC was "I wonder if anything was written into the rule for transported models...probably count as moving as per normal"

Henners91 wrote:Since this is the model I am building the Wagon from, anything less than a Kilkannon just strikes me as a crime against such an awesome turret

Buuut I am probably going to make the front plate removable so I can switch between the model's vanilla gun (Kannon-sized? Judge from the pic) and a Kilkannon.

But the arguments in here are ever-persuading me that it's just not competitive to use a gunwagon, but since I plan on either buying Flash Gitz or Tankbustaz next, I feel like it wouldn't be a massive crime. I'm going to get my hands on some kind of German SPG/Tank Destroyer to be my other Battlewagon. I just want to run a 'fun' treadhead list.

I say go for it. Give it a 'ard case and a killkannon, and maybe a red paint job and run it as a main battle tank, without worrying about transport as it's primary mission. Two of them would be pretty cool for an orc treadhead list...

Fun and Fluff for the Win!

That's the point. You may only drive around or blow stuff up. If you move at all, you may only shoot one weapon+kannon blast. If you fire the killkannon, you may not shoot anything else. If you move at cruising speed, you may not shoot at all.

I would field those as big trakks with supa-kannons(IA:8). Those actually blow up stuff, and you are moving into opponent-permission territory by fielding that model as a battlewagon anyways.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
