Yeah, why not do a tutorial?

No reason other than it would be the first, and don't know how many would want it. but if you want it Mr.M it will happen. And i am glad to say, I MADE IT TO PAGE 2 YES!!!! one giant step forward! I will do a couple, one for my board, One for a normal grass board. So look for that coming up some time this week.

I'd first search the Tutorial section here on dakka to see if something similar has already been made..... if there already is a tut that shows how to make hills similar to yours, you wouldn't need to do it.

But if there isn't another one, go for it!

Been awhile for any posts, but i am trying to get alot done all at once which is making sure nothing is getting done. I have six oblits to post after getting some paint down, also have raptors with jump packs finally, and some more space wolves things in the mix. along with a tut for some terrain and some more terrain pics. Along with some bases i plan on using with my wolves. Thank you all for staying around to see what else is coming.

Just a quick up date. I got a game in yesterday, Sorry no battle report was on yet another time crunch. It was my standard list 2k points, against 2k points of a bile list. This was the best game i have ever been apart of. Some high lights, Standard one objective each.

Oblits didn't do anything. They shot and got shot at. I lost 2 first round of shooting to missile launchers. first turn.
My daemon prince didn't do a whole lot of any thing, stripped 2 guns and immobilized a pred. Then got shot down hard.
My raptors where able to stay alive after helping take down bile and his squad only to jump into a hole to take cover, and i rolled 3 ones to move out of cover killing off the icon fist and melta gun killing the rest of the squad.
I was able to repair the same rhino three times, You got it, it was immobilized by my opponent once, and i tried to move over DT twice and ended the game only missing a gun. Another rhino right next to it got screwed on DT and was fixed at the end of the.
2 squads of plague marines took on 2 squads of enhanced marines, turn 7 my fist and melta took on his fist and melta, both meltas didn't do anything, and then both fist killed both marines in both squads. A double knock out by fists, Really funny, I i wouldn't have lost both models i could have won.

He ended the game with a rhino and a 5 man squad on my objective, I ended the game with 2 rhinos and 2 squads, one missing one guy. And an oblit squad with both models left. The game ended a draw, we took each others objective. the board turned counter clock wise a full 180 degrees. Great game, I wish i could do a full bat rep. But like i said time was against us.

Now moving on to what i have been trying to do for the last 4-5 days. I have been working on my next army, figuring out what it will be. If i get a lord of change and a fate weaver, you guys will see a 1k sons army start up. If i can't get those, i will be converting a space marine bike and going from there. Space wolves are still sitting until i get some free time. The plague marines are coming along. The raptors have jump packs on them, The plague marines back packs are getting done. The oblits are based and a couple of colors on them. I have some pictures of the models i painted for my old eldar army i will throw up on here, I am repainting and remodeling one of them to fit an up in coming chaos army. I pulled out my old transport so now i have a case to transport this army in.

And with a friend dropping off his noise marine EC army, i will have pictures of that up when i can get them painted and fixed. So to recap.

Str 5 marines suck to play against,

Space wolves are taking some time to get done, Mainly no time to paint.

Plague marines getting done, raptors are getting there, oblits are getting there, DP is also about to be finished, Same with the lords and sergeant.

The next army i am doing will either be a bike army, or a 1k sons army. depending on what models i get a hold of for a good price. I will get the Hq for the bike army painted here soon, and It will be the test model for the rest of the army, like always.

And a random EC army will be getting done for a friend.

So thats what i have been up to, pictures on the way. And more to come, Its just been a busy week. Getting ready for easter and not having much time to do really anything. So i'll see you all same place same time.

HAPPY EASTER!!! or HAPPY ZOMBIE DAY, Because of getting screwed over by my ex, and trying to get a friends army up and going i don't have much to post. But nothing is better than something, So here goes nothing that has to do with any army i actually own any more.

First up is a model i did way back in the day. About 2 years ago after i got back in this hobby for the fourth time.





I wanted a cool looking winged HQ for my eldar army to run with my swooping hawks. Right now this model has been stripped and is being used in an up and coming Tzeentch army. So this model no longer exists. Sorry but thats just the way that goes. I was a chaos model, wings added from a carrion model and the eldar bits are just eldar bits. The basing was a green stone to match the rest of the army i used to have. I was going for a red eldar army. But things change and so on.

The next model is a named character Magun Ra, The dark reaper guy, I was working on getting all the lords. It didn't end to well. But here he is.





He was going to be a dark reaper extarch in an all clown army, with death jesters being the rest of the squad. I had 30 plus eldar clowns, and another 20 geared to be guardians . along with 4 deth jesters being dark reapers and Magun ra being the exarch. The army was coming along. But never got done because of the need for money. If you want this model, IT is for sell right now. Its a bad photo and i can get a better one i hope. I never got around to finish painting it. Sad times i know.

As for those, They are both wip and was apart of my last army. I found them while digging though things to sale, and to get my transports ready for my plague marine army. So hey happy days on old finds.

Moving onto the reason for the season. I had the whole easter thing today. I had my kid out running around looking for eggs and all that jazz, He was doing pretty well until he found the grill and kept trying to put plastic eggs on it. But other than that, So far so good. Everything is going pretty normal. Friday my arch enemy is coming over for yet another game. And i think i'll do a battle report for this one. The last game we played was so good, and yet no battle report... Sad times.

Just a few more words as to what i have going. The raptors have jump packs, One squad is almost done, They have back packs and the such. Nothing really happening that is worth saying other than that. The plague marines are just about done. Its getting harder to get them completed. I have a rhino coming up, So i'll finally be able to show you guys what my rhinos will look like. I have huge ideas and big plans for my thousand sons army. I'll get some models done up for them and put them up, I also am going to painting some noise marines for a friend. So i will have that up. And if you ask me to do the other god... I will yell at you. I don't like blood for any god... Seems so childish. So with three chaos gods being done, Along with a chaos biker army. I think i am going to have enough to do and not enough time to do it all in.

So i am looking forward to seeing you all again, Same place, Same time.

Nice blog, i'll be watching with interest! I don't know why you don't have more comments to be honest. Maybe it's because the pictures are quite fuzzy? There are some nice Dakka articles that might help you with that, i found them pretty useful. Keep rolling out the cool miniatures!

The blurry photos are in part, me drinking to many monsters, the other part is that my camera can't get a close good looking picture. So when trying to get detail it becomes blurry. But i keep working on it. and the likes. No clue as to why i don't have more comments. But the comments i have gotten have been of great up and support. So all and all i'll takea few comments from people that help rather than a ton of comments that do nothing to better me and my painting. Thank you for your comments and i'll look into how to get the photos better.

Welcome back to the great world of you looking at the crap that i have done. Now keep in mind that i have at least three projects that i am trying to get done with. And more so now that I am trying to get a tournament up and going. But beyond all that i did get some things done. So here we go for another up date in this nurgle thread. After talking to an old friend and catching some games with him, I need to point a couple of things out with my army. The first being, Fluff really doesn't matter to me. I like reading the fluff and getting ideas from it. But when it comes to my chaos army and fluff, They don't go hand and hand. The second, Is i play a nurgle army. Not death guard. I chose to play a chaos army that fell to nurgle. But wasn't part of death guard. With that couple of things noted. Lets move on.

I got some models kinda done and things moving along. I am working on a scratch built dread, and some painting for a friend. So my army isn't as far along as i would have hoped. But i did manage to get some things done, And for those of you who like blurry battle reports, I got you covered. I played three games, Two of which have photos to go with them. The last, I was like midnight, And i didn't feel like taking pictures. So i'll just give you the best run down of that one. But for now, Its model time.





My terminator lord. I got his arms painted a little bit and glued them on for the picture. The problem with this model is. Chaos terminators aren't all that great and i don't know how to fit them in and make good use of them. But in the future, You will be seeing more use of him.













Chaos Nurgle rhino. Its still a WIP as you can see. But i added some plasti card, to give it a more chaos look. I hate adding spikes to marines and call them chaos. So this is a normal rhino with things added. The design on the top hatch, Is the nurgle fly. Its pretty rough right now. But its a Work. So it will come along and look good. This is the first rhino i have ever painted. So this is going to be a little weird Till i figure out what i am doing. Probably a lot of dry brushing and weathering. Who knows though.





Plague marines that are still WIP but coming along. They are now with back packs. And power fists. This being just one squad to give you guys the idea. I would hate to add 5 photos of the same squad. So there you go. Plague marines.





Chaos raptors, Of course they are just plague marines with jump packs. These ones i am hand painting and not using spray yellow on. Its a bigger pain then any thing. I hate having to build up colors to get a great looking yellow. The jump packs are just the run of the mill internet ordered jump packs. No clue where i got them from. I think they look better for these guys. It was either these or imperial jump packs.



Raptor Sergeant Spanky. With his Plasma Pistol and Power fist. This is the lowest rank spanky i made. When i don't use his other forms i use this in the raptors as a sergeant.





Obliterators, that will be used as terminators if i need them to. In all the games i have played they haven't done anything worth noting, Besides one pred kill. But hey. Never know they might do something. These guys will each be rocking a dual power fist with no visible gun sticking out. I want to keep them nice and clean. And the current GW model sucks so bad.





My WIP Jump pack lord. Now with kung-Fu arms. This is just a power sword wielding lord. Just there to be a cheaper Hq choice, Just in case i need him. Right now, This model has actually killed a few models and helped me to win a couple of games. Trick is, Keep him a way from kharne.

Every model will have the nurgle fly shoulder pad, Painted silver and the fly its self red. The fly icon on the rhino will be red when its done. I'll be back with either a couple of battle reports or links to them. So stay tuned, I'll see you guys same place. same time.

Battle Report time, So come with me, my children and gather around to hear a tell of blood shed and carnage. In a galaxy far far away, in a time long ago there was a battle. It took place in the 41st something or other. The British made it, But we only hold that against them when the rules suck or when we play grey knight players.

So welcome to another Battle report. This time its the good old plague marines vs a bile list. We all know the guy. This was a 2k point game. Here goes the lists, As far as i can remember. So who knows if i am right or wrong. But blood shed, lets take a good hard look at what we brought.

Plague marines 2k

Lord with wings power weapon plasma pistol MON

Plague marine squad, 8xmen champ with power fist, 2x melta guns, rhino x 4

Chaos raptors, 8x men champ with power fist, 2x meltas, ION

Obliterator cult, 3x2men Thats three squads of 2.

This game wasn't very fun. Things went bad and it didn't end well. I am not posting this battle to boost my ego. I felt like crap after this game because of how bad it ended. The dice weren't on my opponents side and a few mistakes made for a rather boring game of removing models and rolling dice.

You will notice that i don't have 4 rhinos and i had to use foam to proxy. Now before you guys say anything, I did mark the doors and wrote "RHINO STANDIN" On it. So don't worry we all knew it was a rhino and we where good to go. So here you go, set up. The game was spire head, kill points. I got first turn.





As you can see. We are gearing up to run at each other and kill one another. I rolled to go first, and to my luck I got to go first. So first turn. The mightest one of the game. Now I took a good hard think about what i was going to do turn one. So after about 3 hours of thinking about the first move, Which is the most important one of the game. I decided to move everything forward and pop smoke on rhinos and shoot with the oblits only to not hit a thing.



His, Mighty, but not so mighty as it wasn't turn one any more but turn two turn. Now. I had moved up, And he moved up to meet me in the middle. So after a little bit of moving. He shot, killing a squad of oblits.

So With my craptastic oblits not doing anything for the second game in a row. I decided to try out a new plan. Namely shoot with them till they do something or burn the models to the ground.

Turn 2, My turn. No where as good as the first turn but Hey its a new turna nd we have to keep our hopes up for a new day. Ok so after seeing that he moved up, I figured i was in the clear. I didn't need to put much thought into what i was going to do next. So after about a pack of smokes three bathroom breaks, and a small lunch break. I finally made it back to the game with in 2 hours



He moved his 2 rhinos up. I jumped everything forward and was able to break open the rhinos, I shot some more into his 2 squads. And charged in the weaker squad with one squad of marines. The other stronger squad got raptors and marines. I blew through the stronger and tied up the weaker.



Using the squad of plague marines to screen my raptors while they moved up. I was able to get closer to his next units.



His turn. Turn 2. His second turn. Now I have just ran through a couple of his squads, And this is where his dice start to give out and mine start to kick in a lot better. This is the turning point in the game. right now its not all that fun.

He moves up and unloads into my squads with rapid fire plasma guns, missile launchers. and lascannons. not killing very many. cover saved me.



Turn three my turn. I charged into his havocs with 1 squad of marines. My oblits blew up his pred, and my raptors and marines took out another squad. So right now he is down to 1 squad and a tank. His havocs are on the run, This is where the game is over. We contuine for the sake of finishing this crap game. And i call it a crap game because from here on out its one sided. And nothing can stop it.

He has 2 kps at this point. And i am about to have his whole army.

So i am moving in. I move a rhino around the board to block his one good tank from firing. screen raptors with marines again. And move forward.



Just to wrap up the rest of the game. Ok This is what happened, his turn saw shooting at me. Blowing up a rhino and take a few guys down. All he could do at this point. I shot his havocs off the board by making them run again. The pred, was gang raped by 4 melta guns and charged into by raptors.



This was just one of those games where something went right and another thing went wrong. And It sucks it really does. The first time these lists went at each other we had a ton of fun. But it didn't happen this time. Something went wrong and a fun game became pretty much a waste of time. In the respects that the game wasn't as fun and didn't end on a high note. Games like this, are really a shame. It wasn't anything that the players did or didn't do, with out minor error. It was really bad and really good rolling that stopped this game from going well. The next game between us will be fun and a knuckle dragging fight.

The game ended with him not having an army and only taking three kill points. not a fun end to the makings of a fun game.
