Available to all, or invites only?
Cost?
Whats the Venue like? (amenities etc)

Id like to come along, I will be purchasing a FW Decimator in the foreseeable future and if you okay the rules I'll use them, if not can i just use it as a chaos dread?

Wittman - do we have a decision on Imperial Armour? If I'm going to get the stuff painted in time I'll need to get them soon, but don't want to get them until I know.

Buy them through your Company and claim they are desk ornaments.

Geek can you e mail me what your planning on using
There are a few IA things that I notice a lot of people are hating such a dreadnought assault drop pod
But as a whole I have no objections (yet)

wittman - email sent. No secrets - was planning on using tetras, sentry drones and remote sensor tower (perhaps).

It has been brought to my attention that this guy - http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Downloads/Product/PDF/d/decimator.pdf - is a bit uncool rules wise.

That it does but its rules are a little rough xD

What do you think is rough? The only thing I thought was a bit wierd was the getting back to life thing. Otherwise seems a bit rubbish really. A BA furioso would rip it apart for 20 pts less. In any event it does not have "official" sanction yet so as I understand it isn't part of IA 2 authorised for 40k. But even if it was I would have no objection to playing it.

I dont think the decimator is that bad actually , its still only AV12 and that with the assault 4 missile thing he still comes in at 40 points over a psybolt dreadnought.

In a code not brimming with options he seems ok

Hmm...

I wanna field a warhound titan XD

t I think Ratwolf has a point, its says they are experimental rules and Ive stayed away from the IG rapiers because of this.

If I was to field him I would take mark of nurgle for the re-roll

It ignores completely damage results of 1 or 2
Ignores 3 or 4 in a 1/3 of cases
A roll of 5 knocks him out but then has 1 in three chance (mark of Nurgle) of getting up in each turn with all damage results removed.
Only a roll of 6 on the damage chart can remove him or a re-rolled 1on his return roll (mark of Nurgle)

The only saving grace for it is I read it that it cannot assualt on the turn it gets back up (deep strike rules)

It also gets 6 str 8 attacks on the carge and the special weapons it can take don't seem to shabby either.

As mentioned, its still experimental.

And its the fact its a big ass walker, that can ignore...well, just about every damage table result.

Yes, I could tear it to pieces, but then it'll just stand back up or make a roll and make my efforts totally futile.

Are you telling me that you are scared of it coming back to life? My basic troops come back to life, and they're no trouble. But then, they aren't S8 AV12 I suppose

If people have an issue with it I can use it as a proxy dread, not a problem... or a Daemon Prince maybe.
