If you had enough points for the 3rd heavy spot, what would you add?

I am loving these reports. I may have to try a variant of your Grotesque Wall/WWP list someday, as it looks incredibly fun.
Looking forward to the Daemon battle. Webway Portal vs mass deepstriking sounds like it will be interesting in a weird sort of way.

There's a 2000pt tournament in 2 months and I'm on the fence. It may be a 3rd talos, addings some beasts and another unit of wyches, or just another unit of wyches and more bodies in the original unit.

I would consider a Chronos, I have had some decent luck with them. I BatRepped one matchup I had using my WWPDE, you may have convinced me to try it out again.

I think I need to reconsider some choices for mine based on your games.

Whoa that is brutal to play against Daemons with those rules. Always get their preferred wave, get over half their army, get all their army by turn 2...if those were standard Daemon rules I would pumped...
Almost like making SoB players test faith per model in a Kill Team while the GK get to take one test for them all
I think Chris should have taken the first turn on this one. It lets him smash into your entire army before you get a chance to drop your 'deathstar' unit, it lets him unload an entire Daemon army before your reserves have a chance to arrive, lets him put you in a crappy deployment zone and stops you from annoyingly dropping impassible terrain portals to increase mishap probability.
That said, as soon as the initial Wych assault failed I figured you were in trouble. Crushers breaking into the Grotes on the charge is just going to lay a ton of wounds into the unit.
Edit: Meant to put on your Blog but alas!
On the deployment... It is actually an advantage anyway that your opponent has to start with 500 points in reserve as a Daemon player. I think a better ruling would have been to simply force the Daemon player to put their 500 point sideboard in the secondary wave. It does not arrive automatically, and if you do not get your pref wave, the secondary comes in as normal. If you do get it, then you roll for that 500 points like normal reserves.

Great reports as ever man, really well done; good pictures, perfect amount of detail, good looking and original army and great battles.
As ever, some of my favourite battle reports to read, was a pleasure!
Look forward to your post-tournament thoughts in your list!

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Yea tough luck on that ruling, though no offense I think with your lack of shooting and him still edging you out in combat this was gonna be an uphill matchup for you either way.

I think the ruling for daemonic deployment were a bit overly generous. I know how nasty daemons can be and that pretty much eliminated all their risk. I'm sure every daemon player would like that deployment. Not much you could do to circumvent it but you still made a game of it.

Could you tell me what the ratio or consistensy is of the paint you used in your air brush. I know you used watered down acrylics but was curious of any advice/ a ratio you could give me?

I mix the paint right in the airbrush pot until the consistency is similar to whole milk. I use Folk Art paints which don't have a predictable consistency off the shelf anyways. If they're really thick, I typically squeeze 25% of the bottle into the trash and add that much water to start and shake it a ton. That's just for brushwork which I also use a wet palette for. I typically add 1 drop of water per drop of paint into the airbrush pot after that.

Thanks mate! I just ordered a badger 105 and compressor but its all new to me. I am with you, I have used Deltaceram coat acrylics for 10+ years and people always complement my paint jobs and then drop their jaws when I tell them I use uber cheap paint. It has been my experience that a good primer is more important then anything. Which laughably enough is generally 3 dollar krylon for my stuff lol.

I also use krylon primer. A fraction of the price and doesn't chip like GW stuff when models bang together.
