I thought about Imotekh's vulnerability to deep strike while we were discussing using his power from reserve on YMDC. About ten seconds, then went, "neh". Sounds like a fun game.

I think a full-on assault on Imotekh armies is going to be a standard tactic.

They're always trying to alpha-strike the scarab pens anyway. Plus bombard them with blast weapons. Making a safe deep-strike landing in the backfield with the scarabs and spyders spread out to avoid blast templates is challenging. Positioning the spread-out scarabs et al so they block access to Imotekh is plan "A", and that's where they normally hang out and "spawn" anyway.

'course, it is a good thing to attack the scarabs and their Canoptic Spyder buddies before they get big, but that's not a surgical strike, need to bring a little mass along.
