Only time players ever get hate from me, and by that I mean I just dislike them, I never come out aggressively towards other players regardless to how I feel its just rude... I dislike those that brag about beating the snot out of someone with a list full of cheese, more holes then swiss but against an opponent who isn't in the know or with a list capable of defending against it and making out that there a master tactician.

As far as armies go I don't have that big of a grudge against skaven. The aboms die fast to poison as do most things and the magic phase isn't so powerful that it will auto win a game (unlike teclis ;o)

One of the things on my hatelist is ogres though ;o cus everyone needs a multi-wound move and fire cannon that charges with impact hits

Or high elves, cus we can't win unless we field teclis lists/players.

Besides that I'm fairly impartial.

well the guys you are talking about who complain a lot probably picked the wrong army, I mean Skaven are an army that has extremely powerful weaponry but everything has a high risk of blowing up. In my opinion those guys looked at how powerful things were and never looked at the risks. So they never had a backup plan when things go wrong.

I think it's very much a "Can make a bad general look good" thing. In a laidback environment Skaven will be the ones to shine in the " What do you mean you just killed my 10 guys with that one thing" department when they get their good rolls. A lot of the time 1 doomwheel or WLC shot can decide games.

I've also found that depending on what the Skaven player takes compared to the other player can determine a lot (Well, this is the same for everything but moreso I feel with Skaven). I mean, how must the Lizardman player feel getting his tough strong Saurus Warriors gassed out by a Plague Wind Mortar attached to a bunch of clan rats?

The idea that people picked the army, knowing the issues with it, with the intention of complaining is ridiculous. People pick armies for lots of reasons beyond how it performs at the top of the tournament scene, but to put together an army for the purpose of complaining about it seems a tad masochistic to me. While they have reason to complain, picking the army because of it? No.

You mention a correlation with Tyranid players. Know that Tyranid players don't play Tyranids because they want to complain, they play Tyranids because they like the army, and they complain because of what GW let Cruddace do to their favorite army with the new codex.

Problems towards a player doesn't always stem from the army they chose. If someone likes an army, then they should play it as they like. I don't feel an army should define a person or whether they are problematic to the people around them.

That being said, there are a couple things that can cause a person to...well, be "that guy"
-An army that just butchers other armies with bull tactics and lists that just make people angry (spamming a large amount of irritating things (take your pick as to what that is)).
-Constantly talking about how they use tactics that can never be beaten when all their opponents have been 10 year olds that are just learning the game (i wish i could say this was a joke...)
-Abusing a rule to no end
-Arrogance that can kill even the most carefree players
-Arrogance (this one has to be repeated simply because it's the biggest issue)
-Someone who when things start to go bad for them, begin to insult the other player and throw their models around, bringing the overall fun down (still said that this isn't made up)

Now, those are just things that can cause people to get angry at other players. The fact that a person that has these traits and plays skaven is just coincidence. To be fair, it can get a little disheartening pulling large amounts of models at a time, but that's gonna happen at some point no matter what.

Other people may be like me. I don't mind losing, that's not a huge issue to me. However, if i'm getting my ass absolutely handed to me, the game isn't fun anymore.

As a skaven player he fields A slightly cheesey list (2 WLC's 100 slaves etc. (no HPA OR Doomwheel)) Our army is kind of 50-50 meaning we ROFLstomp you or vice versa.

in my first game the first WLC roll i had misfire meltdown. But the second cannon destroyed a sea guard unit. In the next game i never misfired but nothing would hit and so the WOC crushed my tarpits and my general .

Skaven are not underpowered we are not weak. we are hard to deploy properly as your army will fill up a lot of your deployment zone.

The real reason people hate us is our main weapons are ridiculously cheap tarpits and Super heavy hitting rares but thats what we are. Stormvermin our heavy infantry choice get neaten easily plague monks put out a lot of attacks and are quite fun but they are S3.

If they are complaing intentional sub in a die with nothing but misfires one game watch as they cackle with glee
