I don't blame ya though. I mean I'd love to play my chaos, but I'm just painting until this new codex appears. The fourth ed codex is just, so boring to play with.

do you hear the voices to wrote:Well the restriction I have at the moment aren't crippling, but are certainly noticeable. For instance, no stormravens, no sanguinary guard, no baal predators, and no razor backs. Most of those are pretty popular unit choices but I can't see the world eaters having any of them. So I'm definitely keeping some stuff in mind.
I totally forgot about the sacred number thing too! I just may have to include that!

I think you could get away with having Sanguinary Guard, they'd just be crazy Khorne Berzerkers with Jump Packs. Though ultimately it's all up to you, haha

Also the sacred numbers are fun, I have gotten several compliments because of it.

I agree, Sanguinary Guard could definitely work and can make a solid addition to a DoA army. Just don't use the same models would be my advice.

I knew what you meant about 'clean' too; I'm shooting for the exact opposite with my Emperors Children.

Oh and in regards to the gods opinions on one-another, they all hate each other, just Khorne hates Slaanesh most vice-versa.

do you hear the voices to wrote:Dave, I read your fandex and wept. First for the beauty, that codex was EVERYTHING that the current chaos codex should have been. And secondly because those will never be the official rules D:
You have to send that to games workshop. We'll start a petition and get all of the chaos players to sign it, send it to games workshop and demand it gets "imperial sanction"(as forge world refers to it).
I have never been so inspired and heart broken at the same time. You sir, are a true artist!

Thanks man, seriously, it means a lot; cheers!
I applied for an Assistant Games Developer job @ GW and attached that 'dex and the Eldar 'Dex (and some other rules I made), but no dice. You're welcome to do a petition if you want though!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I think Blood Angels are more difficult to run with Sacred numbers due to the 2nd special weapon at 10 Assault Marines.

The only answer to that is yes. Every new codex has had new models.

If your next question is "Which/what models?" No one knows.

Just keep watching the News and Rumors section, man.

I guess it's just the feel of the sanguinary guard that seems off to me. Also the conversions of it. I don't know how many variations of khorne berzerkers I can make, heck I couldn't even think of anything for the death company haha
I know how to differentiate regular zerkers from death company ones, but what would be the difference between sanguinary guard and jump pack zerkers?

Also, there is going to be a small to mid sized contingent of cultists/heretics. These guys I want to have a depraved feel. So what I want to do is somehow combined beast men ungors with imperial guardsmen, I don't know how I would pull it off though. This guys will never be used except in a battle fleet gothic/blood in the void game I'm trying to put together. Basically BFG where you fight the boarding actions instead of roll to see what happens, might incorporate planet strike and regular games for a mega campaign(yes I know I'm not the first one with this idea haha). Anyway, my girlfriend plays tau, so if I brought in assault marines w/ sanguinary priests into a cramped boarding action that have a strong focus on infantry, I feel like the games wouldn't be close to fair or fun. Some ships will actually be crewed by world eaters in which case we'll just roll boarding actions as normal, but most ships will be crewed by regular humans. For these boarding actions I would use my traitors, which would consist of heavily modified IG a good deal of inspiration will be taken from Just Dave's fandex. But I plan to use beast men minotaurs as ogryn type guys, with very little conversion work. Literally just half naked bull men charging down ship corridors haha I may also include some summoned daemons in that list as well.
In BFG all chaos ships are assumed to have human crews, unless you pay for a mildly expensive upgrade to make the crew CSM.

So haha quick summary, what would I do in order to make sanguinary guard stand out, and is combining ungors and guardsmen plausible? Thanks!

I'm going to go ahead and just hazard a guess. Just a guess!

Possessed are overpriced, look for them to become cheaper and better. Chaos Dreadnoughts are going to be better and most likely in plastic. Everyone seems to run Obliterators now as they are a popular choice. Look for them to become nerfed or overpriced in the 5th or 6th ed codex in lieu of plastic Havocs. That is my theory anyways.

Alright, here is a quick list of stuff I want to use for the cultist auxiliaries that do the maintenance and other small stuff for my world eaters. This is going to be pretty mismatched and will require my opponents approval to use but I plan to use these guys pretty rarely. I still want them to look awesome though.

The regular cultists will probably be run as IG penal legionnaires. They will be Ungors mixed with Guardsmen.

Super scary mega mutants of khorne will be gun toting Minotaurs, and they will count as ogryn.

There will probably be a techpriest, from the dark mechanicus. At the moment he'll just use the regular model from the iG with a meaner paint scheme.

I'd like to include a counts as priest, with an evisorator as like a raving flagellant who inspires everyone to greater blood shed.

These armies will be led by counts as lord commissars. They were the only HQ choice that seemed human, effective and still khorne like. I need help with what to make him out of... maybe a warriors of chaos khorne lord?

I also wanted to use chaos warhounds to count as SW fenrisian wolves. I love the idea of a world eaters ship cutting through a bulk head onto an enemy vessel and releasing packs of rabid mutated wolves of khorne to tear up the enemy crew. Besides how horrifying would that be? haha

Does anyone have any thoughts on what else the followers of my world eaters should have? or any cool conversion ideas.
When I get more organized with how the list is going to run, I'll post it in preposed rules to make sure it's not OP or UP, but i'd rather hear it here, from you guys haha

This is good advice. Usually things that are strong in one edition of the codex get toned down in the next, and things that are weak can get built up. I think dreads will definitely improve. They'd be good right now if you could give them a drop pod, and they didn't kill your own stuff. Hopefully after 10 years of us complaining and them not selling that stupid model, they've gotten the message. I think oblits will get put back down to 0-1, like they were in 3.5 and iirc the original 3rd ed book as well. I don't expectp possessed to improve, however, just because they've always been a bad unit. GW just can't seem to get them right, and they'll always compete with terminators for space. At 30 points apiece, chaos terminators are tough to argue with.

I'd look for lords to improve with better demon weapons, and chosen also. Hopefully they'll run more like wolf guard do now, where you have endless flexibility. They were awesome in the last book. CSM will always have a strong troops section. I'd look for raptors to improve, if only because they're so dull and pitiful at the moment. Possibly bikes too. The Land Raider should improve too. Perhaps we'll get infernal device back, or even have a variant pattern of our own. Predators will probably always suck for csm just like they do for normal marines. I'd be surprised if the vindicator changed any. Havocs could get veteran abilities back, which would be awesome. Frankly we need our strength 8 autocannons back just to keep up with ward's latest shenanigans. I doubt the defiler will improve very much. Hopefully we'll get drop pods. Just some thoughts.

I wouldn't be surprised, since they've been a part of the fluff for a long time and they've had rules before. There's also a tactical need for more disposable troops. Right now the cheapest unit you can field as a csm player is 13 points apiece, which is pretty expensive.

I'm really looking forward to the new 'Dex too, but I'm holding out on a lot of stuff until it comes out.
I concur with Dreads/Possessed/1Ksons getting way better, and Plague Marines/Oblits getting the shaft.
I wouldn't count on Cultists being in the 'Dex, it's be awesome, but it's not very likely. I think the Rumored Deon Engines will take up most of the new stuff slots in the "Dex.

For your list; i say go for it. DoA BA would make a sweet WE army, if you want to use a Libby just go pre-heresy and paint them white/blue.
