Indeed it is... and Tzeentch is the embodiment of change. He is, in a sense, the very heart of Chaos.

Yes, and Tzeencht is the Great Lord of Change, and so is the most powerful Chaos God.

Chaos id discord, not change. Malice would be the god embodying the heart of it.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

Discord is simply the desire for change, the railing against the status quo and the desire for something different.

While tzeentch philosophizes and schemes, Khorne piles skulls higher and higher. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only WAR. Hence Khorne's supremacy.

Tzeentch has a larger influence on the galaxy at large. Khorne makes people want to go next door and massacre their neighbors. Tzeentch makes it so the neighbors who would be massacred miss their flight back home, and are not there when the agent of Khorne arrives.

It's more than that. It's the eternal struggle, neither side necessarily changing in the slightest. It is the struggle between good and evil and it embodies both sides. It is the thoughts that keep you up at night even if you'll never act on them. Anger, fear, greed, all this and more. Not just change.

The sides don't really need to change... after all, it's not the status or standing of the other Powers that Tzeentch cares about, but the actions of mortals. As mentioned a few posts back, the actions of every other Chaos God, and their followers, affects some kind of change in the material universe, and drives other mortals to seek to change that in some way, in addition to the typical goals and dreams of mortal races.

From all of this, Tzeentch draws power. Whether that is from a Khornate berserker turning a living man into a dead one, a Sorceror of Nurgle turning a Hive populace into Plague Zombies, or a Slaaneshi cult seeking greater depravities to stave off their boredom and ennui, all of these are seeking and creating change in themselves, in others, and in the world around them... all of these changes are by Tzeentch's design.

Khorne.

He is the most primal manifestation that complex and simple life forms can relate to.

There will always be conflict, struggle, and war.

All the chaos gods represent something primal and innate in the human psyche.

Maybe. But there's nothing more primal than clubbing someone to death with a rock. Or an axe or whatever.

Papa Nurgle is the oldest. But Khorne is on the record as being the most powerful.

Khorne has been noted in the fluff as most powerful. It's actually pretty fitting that the poll results place the gods in a ranking of power equal to what the background says.

Khorne is the most powerful god and has always been for at least 30 years, no changing that now!

Gonna go kill some of my friends for the chance for an extra Chaos reward,

I like to think it this way:

Everyone loves pickles and there is this really awesome pickle that tastes godlike (aka really good). There is one problem though. The pickle is inside a large jar and jar's cap is sealed shut because of internal preasure.

Khorne mightiest of chaos gods is fully capable just ripping the jar open but if he does so he has exhausted all of his strenght and will not be able to eat or protect his prize and he knows this.

Tzeentch is smarter than Khorne and is looking for a better way of opening the jar, a more efficient and less exhausting way but the lord of change is constantly changing his plans and never coming into a definate answer. "What if I get a big knife and... or I take it high up in the air and... maybe I use sharks with..."

Slaanesh thinks he is smarter than lord of change and tries to charm others to open the jar for her too bad Khorne is not into that kind of stuff, Tzeentch can't make up his mind, Nurgle is just a fat blob. On the other hand there is that fourth one and she is pretty hot...

While Nurgle doesn't have great strenght, intelligence or great looks his plan is simply to out last the jar as nothing can outlast him. He is more conserned about the pickle's condition after the jar has rotten away.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

I'd imagine that knowing Tzeentch, breaking that staff altered his power not one bit, but it's useful to him for them to think it did.

Since the Chaos Gods don't exist in any physical sense, there's, in truth, no staff to break or throne of skulls to smash or anything of the sort... whatever Draigo thinks he's doing in the Warp in the Garden there are just the delusions of madness.

None of them are more powerful than the other.
The Chaotic Quartet- There symphony is chaos.

They will never be better than each other. They can never side with each other for long until time in the other existence is ended. And they sit bored with nothing to do other than bicker and make war with each other.

Such is chaos that anyone that claims to be the better is a fool.

I don't know why I am speak in this way. But I like it.

Change is the greatest power in the universe. Even the murders done in the name of the Blood God are a change between life and death.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Yes but he keeps changing his plan. Change is a double edged sword. Sometimes a changing plan that keeps changing even when it was a great idea. Does not always end well.
Sometimes you need to stick with what you got instead of trying to change it.

The Lord of Change yes. But he can never make his mind up about anything.

Yes but the more things change, the more things stay the same. Therefor Tzeentch's attempts are futile.

Which is constant. And therefor not change at all. The real change would be no change. Which wouldn't be change at all. Oh what a tangled web tzeentch weaves.

When you word it in a theoretical sense like that then yes. But the changing of the physical and psychological universe can be differentiated from the "constant" in that example. It still indeed is change I assure you. We do not live in stagnation. Indeed the only thing that is truely never changing is the fact that everything is always changing. This seems to be a paradox that will keep going around in circles. And it has dawned on me that I brought this up to begin with, which is making me question why I thought it appropriate in the first place.

Tzeentch WAS the most powerful at one point. Hell, go look up the fluff for the Blue Scribes, they're out there attempting to bring Tzeentch back to his rightful position as king of the hill.

I think the CSM codex states Khorne as the most powerful, though it might be in the CD 'dex...
