More. I always have something that needs a new paint job, or needs to be repaired, or needs conversion work. Tourneys just force me to get off my fanny and do the work.

More for me. Otherwise I would just collect and paint random stuff with no purpose.

More here, in order to try a new build, field a cool new unit, etc. in an official capacity, if it weren't for tournaments I'd just proxy and test things prior to buying, leading to less buying.

I also try to change up my primary tournament army every year or two to just give some variety, while before I played tournaments i pretty much stuck to one army.

I win a fair bit at tournaments, but it usually causes me to spend more. Getting a few pieces of a new army has spurred the purchase of the rest more than once for me.

More, I buy more stuff new for conversions rather then trade or buy it all second hand which I did when I didn't play tourneys and didn't really have any deadlines.
