On the one hand a doctor is not much more points over a similar non-doctor model (4 pts average). For so little ability to bring your troop back from the dead with 70% chance is potent. On the other hand it costs you orders, one to heal, usually some more to get close to the injured. You could be using those orders to kill enemies instead. It's usually not very useful to burn 4 orders to run dodging bullets just to heal a 10 pts light infantry, but on the other hand putting one doctorbot next to your expensive and dangerous sniper might give him another life and a new bucket of pain to unleash on your enemy.
Some people do take doctors some don't at all. I guess it means they are balanced.
Have in mind that a lot of times you won't be able to heal your troops at all - if they suffer more wounds than their W value (usually 1) they go directly to dead. Some nasty ammo (for example shock) also bypasses unconcious state. On the other hand if you have a doctor some enemies may feel forced to finish off your unconcious models in fear of them getting back - causing them to burn more orders, which is also an advantage in favour of a doctor.

Minor correction - KUM Bikers make crap line troops because they're Irregular and don't contribute to the order reserve...

Yeah, the bikers cost a lot too . ($)
Question of the day: When the weapon stat line says " EXP" rolls 3 ARM dice... does that mean the weapon can wound three times? With Viral it says two BTS dice, does that mean viral can wound twice per shot?
I understand how armor works, even the misleading "negative" BTS stat, but some weapons (missile launchers) almost seem OP with so many chances to wound- or maybe they are supposed to be that strong, I guess it makes sense that a missile launcher will have a good chance of sending a living infantry right to death in one shot.
I'm slightly confused on this issue, the wording just seems a little off if it's meant to cause so many wounds. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also: are the generic "remotes" that are sold for haqqislam fit for being used in place of all the other "diamond symbol" remotes? I can't find the models for some of these higher-star diamond remotes and I'm curious if it's becuase there are no models out- or if it's becuase the basic remotes are supposed to cover all those selections. Automatically Appended Next Post: EDIT: nvm, just noticed the remotes have titles that correspond- so the basic remote set comes with two different remotes, so that means two remaining remotes don't have models yet :x.

Correct each failed save is potentially 1 Wound. (T2 ammo causes 2 wounds per failed ARM roll). EXP ammo is very nasty, but typically has the side effect of a low rate of fire which means it's harder to win FtF rolls.
The generic remotes become whichever of those you want based on what you model it with. IE: If you model it with the Missile Launcher it becomes a Shaytaniyah.

Ill take any help offered. I am new to wargames ad playing with exp players. I am learning but run into the same problems.
I am playing nomads and have quite a few miniatures as I like to paint. I need a 180 and a 200 point army that can match up with the beef being offered up by the other armies. Let me know what you think might work?

180? Not sure why you would be running that point total. IMO you should always be playing multiples of 50.
As far as suggesting a list, that is going to depend on so many variables that it's a bit like asking "Tell me what should be my favorite color". Is there any models that you particularly like? Have you found a play style you prefer? Are you playing straight killum missions. book missions, YAMs, etc? What are you facing in your area?

Further to what BlueDagger has said, add on:
what models do you own? Are your group OK with proxies? (as they should be in this game) Are there any 'must have' models for you?
And i am also confused by the 180 point total, what SWC are you allotting for games at that points level? (Assuming 4)

I thought it would be 3 SWC. Isn't it 1 SWC for every full 50 points of the army?

True, but i would have thought it would be rounded up for some reason....no particular reason but ive seen slow grow leagues on the main forum tend to round up thats all....i suppose the best answer would just be to take the average and go 3.5 which makes more sense...

The book says nothing about part SWC per part of 50pts.
It's 1 per 50. Not 0.5 per 25, or 1 per part of 50pts.
And, as noted, it's per 50pts of the agreed points limit for the game. So 180 or 200 are both playing with 4SWC, only 200 has an extra 20 points on you (which could be as little as one model and could be as much as 4-5 of them).
