Dark Eldar Titan might have a similar delivery system. Like a barbed grappling hook that doubled as a drop pod.
Along those lines with grappling hooks, the Forge World Chaos Blood Slaughterer Impaler cannon has interesting rules for pulling enemy models to it. DE Titan could have nets that pull entire units closer to it.
I was thinking of this too. Though perhaps it punches the air and shoots out Reavers.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

OK, this took a while, and I'm not including the 3 heavy skimmers or the Scourge Corriga, because frankly I'm not happy with them atm.
DISCLAIMER: These have been primarily been balanced in points against Imperial Titans / Baneblades / Eldar Titans etc, rather than existing 'nid Gargantuans. The bias towards armour is insane (coincdently, DEMC's cost 60% of the equivalent nid ones, and curiously enough, these cost 60% of the equivalent nid titan with those stats.) but at any rate, the Magnatesque invaribly gets put on the field in 1500-2000pt standard 40k game and still get raped and do little. Which is why it now has a 3+ / 6+* instead of just a 6+* and costs 220 instead of 250. Dark Eldar Felis Panthera Flesh Hound Biotitan

(This will use the giant spider. It's meant to be 10-12" tall, and I just won one on ebay, so we'll see exactly how big it is when it arrives. Meant to be a build-your own type of thing, can gear it to be an everything type thing, a titan hunter, a tank hunter or an infantry killer.)

Am I right in thinking the left side is the front and the right is the tail? I've got my sketch attempts done, will upload them, along with relevant source info for dakkanauts, shortly

1: Why is the first image of the Reaper?Oh, you fixed it. 2: I.. can't really see what you're going for. 3: I attempted opening Ship.dwg in both eDrawings (.dwg viewer) and Solidworks and it appears to just be a blank square...

Ok here are my sketches - hopefully you can get an idea of what I'm looking at from these.
Mods, I realise these pictures are only indirectly wargames related, hopefully you're alright with them being uploaded here for the sake of this project - I did consider not putting them here, feel free to take them down if you think it best
Automatically Appended Next Post: Fixed sketches - turned 'em the right way round!
Automatically Appended Next Post: I can't draw the wing shape out correctly - the 2 blades at the very front of the punch blade are to be at the front of the hull, one on each side. The rear blades are to be extended out further and joined at the tip, like the Romulan warbird.
Looks great from the top down, though the wings need to curve over the top and under the bottom of the hull, and the hull needs to be slimmer (from the front view) - but yeah looks like we're on the right lines there pal!

I just had a brilliant idea for your capture cages/snares.
Add the following weapon to the bottom of the vehicle.
Slavecatcher Snare array.
Range 12": Str* Ap* Assault 12, Slavecatcher
Slave Catcher: Each Infantry, Jump Infantry, Bike, Jetbike, Warbeast, and Cavelry model hit by a Slavecatcher Snare must take a Strength test. If the test is failed the model is removed from play as a casuality with no saves allowed. If the test is passed the model has managed to break free of the snare and suffers no ill effects. Monstrous creatures, Gargantuan Creatures, and vehicles are immune to the Slave Catcher.

it depends on your area.
Most people would have no problem if they got a look at the rules for it before hand.
Its better err on the side of overpricing your creations too, and ensure that everyone has big appoc sized guns to take stuff down with.

So i read as far as Space travel capable, slave ship, not spikey, and skimmer and BOOM! Slave row boat (viking?) popped into my head. Tried googling a good picture but couldnt, but i could imagine DE wielding whips all over the ship forcing the slaves to do their bidding, stuffing breaches with slave bodies etc!

Automatically Appended Next Post: Anton, can you include the hull in the next sketch? Any chance of a 3d rendering soon? (sorry if I'm jumping the gun - I have no idea how long this stuff takes!)
Automatically Appended Next Post: I can't decide which way round the hull should go - blade tip down, or blade tip up (with the hull being angled down).
What do you guys think?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Anton - (sorry buddy...!) Can you add a second set of blade wings to the rear of your latest drawing? There are 2 flat edges at the 4 o' clock and 7 o' clock position - can we add them here? Have them sweeping outwards and pointing back towards the front, these are the bits that will join at the tip and circle the hull

well as soon as we settle on a 2d design I can do a 3d rendering of it.... maybe monday-tuesday, considering I have school...

How 'free' are other gamers with playing against a custom unit with its own rules and weapon profiles?
As far as December goes you'd be best to post a few quieries on the Animosity thread to sound out your potential opponents and find something with a similar profile to use as fall back rules if anybody gets shirty.
Definitely he cut out red bits on the 3rd picture (bat plane?!), they're awesome
Automatically Appended Next Post: I've put the feelers out to companies that can help me to make the master casts; a couple of companies in China, and Chapter House Studios too.
Nick from Chapter House is happy to look further in this with me, though won't commit to casting the finished piece until he's seen the designs.
Yet to hear from the Chinese companies
