I use the Chessex 12mm's, mostly because they're cheap and it's easy to find dice that match my army color. I don't buy into the whole "Chessex dice roll more 1's". A dude with 5 casino dice could roll all 1's just like a dude with 5 Chessex dice.

I mostly play on tables that are half inch wood on metal table legs so using anything heavier makes too much noise. We rolled one of those huge GW die that came in a metal tin and it sounded terrible.
