I know this was about Nobz and Pks but what about a Warboss? With a Big Choppa would it be worth the chance to ID say a GK NFW character before he strikes or just do everything to avoid such a fight? I guess what I'm thinking is if you have to fight would it behoove you to have the PK on a 'boss or 'hidden' in a squad (boyz or Nobz).

Chances of doing this are slim. There's good chance you're gonna be facing either I5 (non-librarian HQ) or a I6 model (normal GK with halberd) so you won't hit before they do. And because Big Choppa isn't power weapon, all GK characters will have 2+ save against it... PK's hidden in a squad will work fine though.

Just remember that GK player can only use 1 psychic power per normal squad per turn. So they have it's either activate NFW or use hammerhand (or use CF in case of Purifiers).

Ah, didn't know that about GK SC's as I've only played them once before and not with Orks.

Thanks

on warbosses I usually go pk, but on kingkracker's advice I have triend fielding htem with BC. warboss on a bike with big choppa and regular warboss iwth big choppa, still can be devestatng, still str 8 on the charge 5 WS 5 attack @ sdtr8 I5 isn't anyting to sneeze at for 65 or 90 oints if on a bike. if on a bike toughness 6 so assumign you charge marines they only wound on 6's. then a 4+ save, just try to not charge meq if there is a fist in the squad toughness 5 so won't ID, but no saves against it. unless you pay for cybork... but if you are takign BC on a warboss it is for a small list generally if you've never tried it you'd be surprised how well they work try one out sometime it'll surprise you

I usually put Big Choppas on my Nobz before I'll add any of the kombi guns for wound diversification. They do make the Nobz better in close combat which is what the unit is meant for. I still make sure to include the requisite 2-4 power klaws, but the +2 strength can still be fun. If I'm running a large enough group I'll use kombi weapons, but I do like to use both my Power Klaws and Big Choppas. There may be better uses of points out there, but oh what slaughter those guys create.
