Hey, I've been quietly following your blog, I think you've done a great job bringing those banshees out with a new paint job! the base is well done, perhaps adding some rocks or fissures or ice would be great as it looks a bit flat. as for power weapons I have my librarian on a bike WIP shot if you want to see how i've done mine up.


so...
1)paint sword base color
2) highlight sword
3) draw a thin white scraggly line with the smallest brush you own to a random length, than off the end of that begin a new random scraggly line and so forth, look at a few pictures of lightning its all sparadic and thin, you'll get it
4) gw hard coat or gloss varnish that paints on make an awesome shiney finish if the rest of your model is matte

I am attempting a new style of painting jewels. I am painting them white and then single coat shading a portion and single coat shading the other portion and making a blend in the center with a varnish over top.

Ideas?

Small update on my 3rd company 7th assauld squad.

I have quit the game completely. I am sorry if you actually liked my work. It has nothing to do with my skills at painting or anything like that, it has to deal with more of playing the game. I have just stopped caring all together.

If I get into another game at all it will be Dropzone Commander
