OP, your tactic is completely sound and fair. However, him getting upset and butthurt that you dared to counter him...that makes him "that guy".

Any decent general knows that if you pull a trick too often the enemy will adapt and the trick wont work. A good general will use an enemies predictability to set a trap for him, as you did.

He made it so that the razors were parked in a V formation with a space too small for a terminator base to fit though. I did even smash through the next turn, but I had to suffer a round of shooting. He's a quality player and I usually learn something each game.

Oh, that's clever. I wonder if I can do that to protect my Russes... The sponsons might give me some trouble, though it' depend on the rest of the map.

Definitely an effective tactic. I'd be impressed rather than angered if someone pulled it on me.
