Camo and AD are nice and evil if used right. Note when you are just learn (about a 8-12 games) stick to, no more then 1 out of every 5 model with CH:TO and/or AD. Once you get use to them and the rules you can move up to a 1 out of 3, but wouldn't do any more then that.
Noamds TAGs are cheep (vs. other factions TAG) and good at there jobs. REMs are nice I love my Lunokhod and it's CrazyKoalas, and the Salyut EVO is F'ing great vs. the right fractions/units. Sadly I have not got around to putting together the Tsyklon, but Climb+ 360 and there loadout are nice. The Spitfire/Marker one is better with a Hacking/GML list, while the Feuerbach is nice for a extra weapon to deal with the armored up units.

TAG are always awesome. Remotes look cool as hell, can carry heavy weapons on the cheap, and move fast, however suffer in the survivablility department.
Personal preferance more then anything, but I wouldn't order 2 starter sets since that will land you multiples of the same models. if goign that route get one of the basic starter and one of the Bakunin Starter to avoid duplicates.
yea I meant the starter and the Bakunin. I figure one would give me the basic troopers and other would give me some more variety.
So I should avoid TAGs for now? But the remotes are ok to mess with?

That is a good plan, if nothing more then that fact that the remotes look so fantastic. Be forewarned though that they are a pain to assemble. Pinning is your friend.

Hey guys a quick question on Movement, it has both cm and inches on it and I think you can use both but my question is this. What is the MOV? like for example basic trooper 4-4, hellcat is 4-2 what does this mean exactly?

MOV is Movement. You can move 4 inches in the first half of your order and then move another 4 in the second half if you decide to do that. A HI might be slower and then moves 4 in. and then 2 in.
In and order your can do:
2 Short Movement skills
1 Short Movement skill and 1 Regular skill in either order.
1 One long order skill

Hello, just read this thread because Im currently looking into a second faction (Nomads included)... but I haven't decided yet.
Good discussion here.
I would just like to add about Doctors. If you know how to use them they can be very helpful. I just played a game recently and the opponent's doctor and remotes became the KEY figure in making his OTHER KEY figs work overtime.
I was like... "I did all that effort and sacrificed my figs to kill those guys and now they are up again as if nothing happened."
Orders are important in this game...
1. Docs give you a chance to revive your figs, getting back orders that you would have lost outright.
2. Docs can force your opponent to spend one of his orders to make sure your figs do not stand back up....or he can just ignore them...which is what I did during my last game. ... and that didn't turn out well for me.

Hey guys a question on camo: TO the rule book says that you place this model then remove it but must remember where it is located. What is the acceptable way of doing this without cheating? Me and a friend decided that we would use a camera phone and take a pic of it then remove, would that work? Also the rule for moving says it acts like the same for lvl2 camo, but how do you move something that isn't there or without basically doing the work for your opponent and reveal it's location, and how would that work for shooting as well?

camera is quick way of doing it. Another is simply noting down on a piece of paper (either little map or, "behind big red building, on my side, two inches to the corner, prone").
Whenever you do anything with hidden deployment unit it goes out of HD and becomes a camo marker (or model if you use skill that would get you out of camo as well).

Typically you take a bit of paper, then write down the location of your TO guy on that, then show the paper when you reveal the model.
The camera-phone idea is also a really good one, and would remove any argument for sure.

I'd say how you do it with pictures is very good
And for movement, when you use an order with the TO model, you put a camo marker on the table (then it moves the same way a lvl2 camo moves)

TO camo you have the options of:
- Place the model on the board regularly (don't do this)
- Place the model as a TO Camo Marker (do this is you REALLY need that order or it's your LT
- Do not place the model on the board but rather mark down the model's location, to include if it is prone or not, in secret.
You never model on the board when doing hidden deployment, so your opponent doesn't know where it's at. You just simply make a little terrible drawing of it's location or make note some other way so you can verify later. Yes, there is ways to cheat.... just like every other game out there.

I'm starting with them too and I have a Lizard TAG I painted which I want to base around. I also have a hacker and zero with emauler.
Was thinking of getting hellcats since they look cool.
Anyone know how the lizard performs? I think it's one of the coolest looking TAGs, so tht why I bought it mainly.

I finally got my stuff in and man these mniatures do not like being on bases! I think I'm gonna have to pin almost every model to the base which is really frustrating. Another Rules question for yall, on SWC what does it mean when it is 0,5 or 1,5 its in really small print so i can't tell if its a comma or a period and the book really doens't give you a good example. Also is Kusanagi worth taking, she looks like a decent buy for the +1 to SWC but I dont know if her combat skills are worth the cost.

,5 and 1,5 are a misprint of .5 and 1.5 for english. I can't comment on Kusanagi as I have never run her before but I know I'm ALWAYS scrounging for every last SWC I can get my hands on.
On the base thing are you use custom bases or the slotted? I always clip the bar so their is just a tab under their feet, make a appropriate home for it in the base, and glue + insert.

Kusinagi is hard to use, for 55pts a 1 wound Lt is a bit difficult.
If you can effectively make use of her flamethrower ODD and EM Grenade and Multi Rifle she can tear things up but she is hard to justify at the point expense
It is easier to justify, if you base your list on her, a Link with her, 2 miora support from a Dak/Zondbot she will do well but at a high cost.

So to get 1.5 id have to have 75pts? Thats a shame on kusanagi she looks really awesome with a decent back ground but when everyone else characters are better she just didnt seem to fit well. I don't plan on running a sectorial list so linking her with moiras is not available.

Correct you get 1 SWC for every 50pts you and your opponent plan to play. So if you agree your are playing a 150pt match you get 3 SWC you can use regardless of how many points your army actually has in it.

I finally got my starter set assembled and painted! I did switch out the securitate model with the female moderator from the bakunin starter set, the securitate just didn't really grow well on me oh well. I'll try and upload a pic of them later but I have a question for you guys. I read up on the rule Veteran but I can't seem to find a model with the rule for it which got me thinking if its something to do with the category like for example Mobile Brigada are listed as Veteran troops so then do they benefit from the veteran rule?

We should start a thread about how awesome the Veteran Kazak are
Easily the best fluff for a model in the book. Too bad you can't find it on the website.
Actually I just happen to have my Rulebook at the job haha
Not everybody dares to stick his head out in the midst of crossfire to fit the sights and locate the foe's fire or figure a way out. A Veteran Kazak will do it, hitting an enemy at the same time. And next, with a confident look, he will sketch in the dirt an emergency retreat plan will keep you away from the fight with the least amount of risk, as he will be covering you. Do you understand now why they are so popular ?

I beg to differ, Duroc has the coolest fluff section.
"I can tear a guy's leg off by it's roots, and use it to smack down sixteen of is buddies... It was a useful skill when i was behind bars... I suppose that's the reason why they want me to be in the army [...] Yes, they say my work is nothing but smashing and killing... but i prefer to call it something like... staff reduction or... cleaning house."
