Especially since they made the FAQ2.0 just to add Jervis's little note. It went from 1.0 to 2.0 just for a little guilt trip.

Several times, it says nothing specifically, one way or the other, about the topic at hand. I've also checked the FAQ, which only refers to an Unstable unit that is wiped out before combat even starts (e.g.: in the Magic or Shooting phases)
