Russes have 10-11 rear armor. All an enemy has to do is get into CC and kaboom. IMO Meltabombs often become my guard's 'Russ-bane'.

Yeah, and some players know this and are fine with lots of russes, some however seem to have an abject fear of tanks.

Well if you want to field lots of russes use the Armored Battlegroup list.

At least they don't have to be in squadrons.
