What I imagine is that they'll likely rip some stuff from the Arthurian lores more, like the more fantastical things of the behind the scenes things.

I'm kinda hoping for something like the Thirteen Treasures of Britain myself.

Or the Grail Pilgrims getting something like regeneration.

Going slightly off topic, is there a date of release for a new book, or is it just a "we're working on it/we will get to is soon"? I've loved the Arthurian mythos since I was little and have quite a thing for heavy cavalry from medieval era games/stories, so Bretonnia is pretty much my destined army in WHFB, but I want to wait until a new book is out if its in the works.

There is never a 100% known release date for anything not for the next month, and even then thats shaky

So far though rumors point to them being quite a distance away. I think Warriors of Chaos or Dwarves were next

WoC are the next release. They have a pretty solid rumor for August.

between now and then they are releasing 6th edition for 40k and the Chaos Codex.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I like this idea if they were metallic constructs of iron or golden-plated steel, powered by faith in the lady or magic... it could work .

I think the new Bret Codex should come with the option to "Dismount" your Knights at the beginning of the game, but have to remain dismounted for the remainder of the game.

It would really screw with people's heads and deployment Ideas.

Knights on foots would be a good idea. Maybe more war equipment choices for Men at Arms. A unit of Special Men at Arms called Brutes(who's job is to collect taxes).

I like that, maybe they could have Great Weapons or Flails.

They could easily keep with the Arthurian legend that seems to be Bretonnia's inspiration if they wanted to make an ethereal/spirit unit of knights. They could be a rare unit called the Knights of Avalon.

Well problem with dismounting mounted knights is that you're paying like +20 points for an infantry model. It'll make much more sense for just having a foot knight option somewhere

They also dismount anyways when they enter buildings, that experience is bad enough as it is.

I do think we should have more grailish type knights though, but a spiritual knight would take away from the Green Knights whole shtick. I'd prefer it if they just made grail knights better personally.

But I do think we need something, new trebuchets?

It'd need a lore change, because Brettonians abhor higher tech, and the wood elves keep them from going to it. It's why they don't even have longbows, with at best Trebuchets.

You know Trebuchets are actually pretty refined works of engineering

Also if they didnt have longbows then GW has screwed up big time with their bowmen set

Crossbows*

Though I guess the abject poverty would help a bit, but the knights abhor the usage of ranged weaponry it seems, and the peasants aren't gonna afford crossbows anytime soon.
